Anyone know if Johnson does an admitted students weekend? Tough decision ahead and would love to go to learn more.

unfortunately that is after the deposit deadline at a number of other schools (K-F and potentially if I am lucky, Tepper, are two that come to mind with deposit dates on April 15.).

doesnt look like people on the waitlist from previous rounds got off it, right?
should i even have hopes for getting off this waitlist.. its huge! and full of desis like me ..

Am I the only one who got rejection after interview? :? :?

After my campus visit and all efforts, I was expecting at least a "waitlist"!! What a great disappointment! :cry: :cry:

Sorry this happened, but you got into Darden, which is as strong a program if not stronger in every respect. Nothing to be disappointed about.

Funny that I was saying the same thing as you about Darden in December. I was in the first round of invites, I thought my interview went well, and I raised my GMAT by 20 points the week after. I thought it was a shoo-in, then I got dinged. Just goes to show that it's not always a logical or predictable process.

I wouldn't give up hope. Johnson is one of the few schools that will talk to you after you get waitlisted. Find out what gave them pause, send updates and fix your profile as best you can. Look at last year's waitlist thread, and you'll see that a lot got admitted.

Have you applied for the merit scholarship or we will be automatically be considered to receive one or not?The email mentioned about it but I don't recall that there was a notification for me to apply myself before submitting.

Rejection was a great shock for me. May be its all because of how you set your expectation. Frankly speaking, as the beginning of all this process, I put Cornell and Tepper as my best bets and was not expecting anything from Darden. But now, I have an acceptance from there and was rejected by Cornell. I should accept that sometimes the feeling of being unique (as the only one person who got rejection) is not as good as I thought :-D
