Hey all!! Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had to submit my application a day late, i.e at 12:30 AM EST on 29/10/2013. Will I still be considered for round one application as it reads that the round one deadline is up to 12 am CST 28/10/2013? I could not confirm this anywhere on the portal. I'd be glad if someone would address this query.

aa2012,
Thanks for the quick response. But isn't 12:30 am 29 Oct EST around 11:30 pm CST 28 Oct and that implies I didn't miss the deadline. Btw, Is there a way to know from student copy of application? Though, a column in the copy indicates that the application is for round 1, but that what I have filled in the first page of my application. Could you please help me out here!!

My status still says "Submitted." Does it change to under review or does it stay the same?
Thanks!

My status still says submitted too. I submitted the application nearly a month ago and interviewed last week. I suspect it just stays "submitted" until they get back to you.
seems RICE is inviting a good number of applicants...probably beyond a certain GMAT score !...
Also, i read on the admissions blog that most of the interviews are conducted by 2nd year students !
How close can we consider ourselves if invited for interview? Does everyone who apply gets invite?
PS: I also got invite... But application status didn't change...received an email without any date mentioned

Well No. Not every one who has applied is getting the call. I didnt!!!
But yeah I agree, clearly they are drawing a line when it comes to GMAT. Lets hope for the best. Is every one receiving email notification?(some say the application status remains the same )

Don't worry you will get your call soon...don't lose hope... These are just my thoughts...!
My application status didn't change...just an email requesting to propose a time and a date...
