If you're like me, you didn't get a call but received an email saying the status changed on your application and to accept/reject your place on the waitlist. It SEEMS there are some changes in the WL game than years past: in the letter it didn't tell us not to contact them. Rather, it told us to wait until mid-Jan for our WL Manager (now abbrev WM) contact info to be released. I assume we won't need to do anything until then. "When will I receive an update regarding my application status? The Admissions Committee will be rendering admit and deny decisions on a rolling basis between January and August. I'd assume sometime next week or the following week at the latest. In previous years they've noted to call the WL manager however, this year they've notified that we'll get getting the information "in a few weeks". Keep in mind school is just starting up again next week and I'd imagine Admissions just got back on the 2nd. I'd give them until the end of the next week before really stressing about it. We do have a month and a half before the definitive update so there's plenty of time to connect!

My letter says, "we will reach out to you in mid-January with the name and contact information for your Waitlist Manager."

Thanks! Also, has anyone heard any feedback from schools as to why they were wait-listed or rejected at other places. I believe Ross, Wharton and Columbia don't give personalized feedback. I have heard Johnson (Cornell) does, but has anyone heard of any others that do?

I second that- calling is a bit forward and invasive, especially on a Friday! My wait list manager is a newly appointed Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid

I think it's basically up to us to contact our assigned WL managers and ask for feedback/guidance. And it's the person we can send any supplementary info to.
