Hi!!

I received a proposal to join 2020 class 2 weeks after the interview.

The interview had 3 parts not in orden, Im just trying to tell you broad topics covered in the interview
1. Discussion about the interviewer expirience in LBS and his career.
2. My track record and personal achievements, also chat about why LBS and why London, why MFin and not the MBA. I mean you have to show that you really want this.
3. Kind of think he checked some stuff about me LBS asked him to.
Finally we chat a little bit, he was super cool.

Expect to meet you all next year!

Best

Guys - I am waitlisted in R1 My GRE aint great but my profile is good overall -

I started at a bulge bracket (almost 2 years in technology) then around 8 months and counting at a HK based hedge fund in trading technology.
I also have cleared CFA 1 and 2 in my 1st attempts and aim for L3 in June 2019

I intend to be a trader sometime.

Any tips/advice on what I can do to improve my chances.

LBS team initially said GRE but then I see people with low scores get into it. Also they tell me I need to revise my essay but my essay totally makes sense because of the transformation I want to make. Not sure why they interviewed me if they did not like my essay.

Any kind of advice is welcome.

Hi Everyone,

I submitted my application today and am waiting to hear back from the admissions office.

The website mentions that the application is considered for an admission round only if it is complete. Is there any specific way to get a confirmation for this? I have submitted the application form, my essays, transcripts and my referees have also submitted their references. Anything else I am missing here?

Thanks.

Did you check if there is any "Status" field in your application portal? You can verify it there or else reach out to the admission committee.

Thanks workout

The status on the LBS portal does reflect "Submitted" on my application.

However, I am confused due to the below extract from on the website:
"The application round is determined by when your application is complete, not when it is initially submitted. If your application is incomplete at a round deadline, it will be considered in a later round. For example, we must receive your references and transcripts by the round deadline for you to be considered in that round."

Will try to reach out to the admissions committee just to be sure.

They have not mentioned any reasons as well. I believe the competition for Indian places is much higher. Yes the review date given is on March 15

We have a separate topic create for waitlisted applicants. This topic shows the list of all the waitlisted applicants at LBS including fulltime MBA etc. You can check out the following link to see if some of the information in that topic is of any help to you.

Hi all, I had my interview today for 2019 intake. Was a really pleasant experience, lasted for over an hour. The topics we discussed were along the same lines as what has been mentioned here already. Nervously hoping to hear good news in the next two weeks!
