Dear DmitryFarber IanStewart AnthonyRitz GMATGuruNY VeritasPrepBrian,

Why is choice E. wrong?
Choice E. : As is Bob Dylan’s, the music of Talib Kweli
I think "the music" is understood behind "Bob Dylan's". Why am I wrong here?

According to P. 57 Veritas SC book:
Quote:
Correct: Group A's findings are more significant than those of Group B.

Moreover, I think "as" can be used for comparison as well
According to P.98 MGMAT SC book:
Quote:
Divya is smart, AS IS Abby.

Choice E. is wrong for the different reason from this post (https://gmatclub.com/forum/like-many-fa ... l#p2458930), right?

Hmm, I can't think of a case where I'd want to start a comparison with "As is X," unless we had a very long comparative phrase. So if I said "As is the case throughout North America, in Texas one cannot XYZ," that could make sense. However, it's odd to say "As is mine, John's hair is long." And it's even weirder to switch forms and say "As is Texas's, the weather in California is warm right now." It almost seems like "Texas's" refers to "Texas's weather in California," or--more to the point--that "Bob Dylan's" refers to "Bob Dylan's music of Talib Kweli." That may seem silly, but otherwise why rewrite the sentence in a less parallel way than "Like the music of X, the music of Y," or "Like X, Y makes music," or at least "Like X's, Y's music"?
