Just wondering regarding the official Facebook group, how long did it take to get in after request to join? I'm still pending and I'm wondering whether it's because I applied to LBS using my maiden name and on Facebook I've got my married name...

I think I sent in a request on Friday and was accepted to the group in a couple of hours. Group admin is Lbs Victoria Hanau - drop her a ping and she'll have you added I guess.

Hi all,

Congrats to all those admitted! I have just been accepted to the MIF prog myself. I understand that this thread is for the MBA class, but since its a tad quiet in the MIF thread, unlike the MBA one, I'm hoping that I can find out more/and share about London accom and course funding!
Hope you guys don't mind me joining in here as well!

Be welcomed, asocialnot!

I will create the MIF Admitted Thread. But please be welcome here anyways!

Hi Guys! Congratulations!

I am 25yo Indian male from Indian Institute of Technology with 4 years of work experience in Data Analytics and Data Mining. Currently working in Dubai. Wont be able to make it to the event on 5th December because of work.

I was going through the funding options and Prodigy Finance looked like a good option for Intl students. However, at LBS (unlike many top B Schools in US) they offer loans only for the tuition fee and not the living expenses. People living in London currently can give a fair bit of idea on the living expenses there.

Just wondering when everyone might be planning to move to London to be ready for the start of the program? I'm wondering if moving over 2 weeks or so would give me enough time. It's a long way for me to move! :)

I've found from many sources that finding a flat more than two weeks in advance is unrealistic, so I guess I'd also move about that much in advance.

I think it's enough time to learn the city, especially that it's an English-speaking environment.

Ok just got a call from a LBS student ambassador who advised 2.5-3 weeks. Apparently the issue isn't in finding a flat, it's in setting up bank accounts and getting credit checks etc which are required to rent a flat if you have no credit history in the UK.

Has anyone received a scholarship or any related communication?

The fee payment guide noted 1-2 weeks from the day of receipt of admission notifications. One week has passed, so makes me wonder.

I've been told that the major scholarship notifications will only get sent out next week towards the end of the week.

Has anyone started their Prodigy Finance application? I've completed mine, but still waiting for the "class of 2018" option to be available. At the moment, I only see classes 2016 and 2017. This holds true both for LBS and for any other school (Harvard, GSB etc.)

Am I the only one who cannot see the class of 2018 option, or is it not open to selection at all yet?

I don't think they will open the process before the confimation of tuition fees for LBS 2018 class, so probably it will only be available in January.

Try sending them an e-mail at:
media@prodigyfinance.com
or
info@prodigyfinance.com

They will not notify...

Many admitted MBAs have received and I have received mine today in Brazil...
I almost didn't receive!
In my country, packages can only be delivered to a person in the address. I had no one in my address, but DHL agreed to leave with my neighbor! Thanks God!!!

I looked at the Prodigy option but the rates seem high. If I were you I'd check first other options...:)

I just received my offer pack in Vancouver, Canada. It arrived yesterday afternoon on the 11th of December.

Quite exciting.

Agree, but I'd rather follow a "trusted" LBS partner than go through the hassle/stress of finding alternatives which may or may not show up when the moment of truth arrives :)
