I have recently appeared in GMAT Online. My score is as below.

Score-Percentile-Ranking
Total-310-3%
Quantitative-30-16%
Verbal-6-0%
IR-6-66%

I wonder how did I get such low on verbal. I also got very low on quant. But, I am more overwhelmed by verbal score. Here, another problem is GMAC didn’t reply my email yet. Their service seems very bad. I am really worried and shocked as I have already learned from various sources that, the score cannot be challenged. In my heart though, I believe it is impossible for me to score so low.

Just sharing my experience here as I found no one reported so low score ever anywhere in the world. ?

Hey Rihsat - Do you mind sharing how much did you score in your mocks? That way i will be able to know the delta between you mocks and the test day

If it's more than 300 points, then certainly you would have succumbed to the exam pressure and made some silly errors. Anyway I would suggest to give it another shot

Well never below 500 overall. Only 6 in verbal is just not possible. I dont believe it.

But the GMAT online can be registered only once. I wont be able to appear again. And i wont travel 350miles for a test. So this is the end for me.

Hi there. I am sorry to hear that you did not get the score you wanted. A low 300 score means you miss fundamentals. I suggest you take your time, follow a study plan, and appear again. Btw, you can retake gmat online. More information on this is coming by the end of the month, stay tuned for it.

GMAC recently announced that you're going to be allowed to take it twice. I don't know when that starts - supposed late this month, but details have been vauge.

Make sure you're CONSISTENTLY getting your target score in a practice environment identical to test conditions. You can never reasonably expect to do better on the real thing than in practice.

I dont think I would do 30-33 wrong out of 36 questions in verbal. This is just an error on part of GMAC. I firmly believe that.

Your GMAT score is not simply a function of the number of questions you answered correctly. The test is adaptive and the questions are graded in difficulty levels. Your score will reflect how well you did in answering these questions relative to other test takers.

There is no evidence in your description that the score is a mistake. The official GMAT scoring algorithm has been tested repeatedly.

The 310 score may be an anomaly that you can correct in a retake. I would strongly suggest that you do not waste time in questioning the official score and instead use your time in proper preparation. This is the not the end of the road. Good luck!
