Hi all, I just had my interview via Skype yesterday. Though I'd share my experience:
The adcom first walked me through what to expect from the interview. She explained that the interview will last about 30 minutes, with the first 20 minutes or so going through my professional and career background, as well as my personal qualities, and the last ten minutes for any questions I have. She also introduced herself -- she is a an MBA graduate from USC and a member of the Admissions Committee.
Questions I've got (from what I could remember):
- Walk me through your resume.
- If you can start over with your career, is there something you will do differently?
- Why did I decided to go to the XX for my undergrad?
- Why MBA?
- Why Marshall?
- What are your plans after MBA?
- What are three qualities you think a good leader ship have?
- What are three words your friends will use to describe you?
- What do you do on your free time?
- Describe an obstacle at work and how you've overcame it.
- Describe a difficult teamwork experience.
- Any questions?
The interview lasted about 25 minutes. I've stumbled on some of the questions...but I'm grateful that the adcom was very friendly and patient throughout the interview. She also gave detailed answers to my questions. I feel that I could have done better on the interview...!
At the very end, she walked me through what will happen next:
- Decisions will be released on 12/15 on the apply yourself portal.
- Decisions include: admitted, denied, and wait listed.
- For those who are wait listed, your profile will roll over to the next rounds.
Hope that helps!
Keeping my fingerscrossed and thumbs pressed for everyone!
