Guys,

Do you know where I can find a ranking that compares US B Schools with Europe/Asia/Canada/Australia B Schools in the same ranking? I need to compare some schools and the ranking here just give this options in two different charts.

Thanks!

Hi There,
I guess GMAT club rankings have most schools featured and can be used as a great comparison tool

Regards
HK

Thanks hk

Can you help me where I can find them? Because the ones that I found were just splited (US Schools and Ohter Countries Schools).
I need to compare Fisher and Rotman and I cannot find rankings that has both os these schools together.

Thanks!

Let me try to put in my 2 cents here =>

Fisher <=> Rotman.

Rotman is currently the BEST MBA program in Canada.
Fisher though an excellent MBA program,isn't the best in the US.

In terms of Location,Alumni network,Opportunities,Employment stats at MBB/Big-4/ Consulting => ROTMAN just smokes it.

So unless you have a location preference => Go for Rotman.

If you are an international => Given the current Political scene,you better tap that offer from Rotman.

Rotman>>>>Fisher

You don't need to see any ranking for that.

If you look this links, you will find out that both schools has the same ranking position. So it makes more confusing that it was before :P . Just kidding.
I do prefer Rotman due to location, visa (for my wife and I) and employment. However, money is a huge factor (if to someone at US is already expensive, for someone in Brazil is even worse) and Fisher would be a lot cheaper in my case.
I am still deciding, but you can image that it isn't a easy one.

Hey Bruno,
While 'a better school' cannot be decided by ranking from a source , there are lot of things that outweigh each school in terms of cost , location , job prospects etc.

I am from India and I am in that huge phase of whether to apply to the schools in the US ( in R1 this year) for various reasons. I do understand you and it's a tough decision to make

Thanks stonecold

I have the same feeling. However, I received a great scholarship from Fisher and a not great one from Rotman.
As an international, money makes me wonder if the change is not the best path here. And for someone who wants to stay at supply chain, I dont know if Fisher's brand is not better.

Lets say that I receive a good new from Tepper, in your opinion should I change from Rotman to Tepper?

Thanks!

Let me put it this way =>
Unless you get a full ride at Top 10 schools => Rotman would still be better.
Rotman is the best MBA school in Canada.
My by best MBA program => I mean the very best.

MONEY MATTERS -->

I understand that money is an issue for all internationals like myself.
But you have to take into account that after graduating from Tepper/Fisher => There is a good chance that you might have to return to you home country due to the VISA restrictions.
It all depends on how you perceive that.
Canada on the other hand has extremely friendly VISA rules.So a big big plus here.

JOB Prospects -->
Next, in terms of sheer job prospects => Rotman is a Powerhouse as compared to Tepper/Fisher.
Strong Foothold.
Honestly, everything else aside i would still choose Rotman.
I really don't undertand why would someone Tepper over Rotman.
Don't get me wrong,Tepper is an excellent school.
But as compared to Rotman => A++++++ >A++

International Regulations -->
H1-B is in a mess right now.

Read this post of a current Tepper student on H1-B => https://gmatclub.com/forum/h-1b-visa-ch ... l#p1837564

Read the entire thread.
After reading that entire thread i am sure you will fly to Canada.

Personal Opinion =>

Money is always a BIG obstacle for us Internationals.
But if I was offered Rotman -> I would take that loan knowing that i made a decision to pursue an MBA from one of the BEST schools in the World.
Certainly the Best in Canada.
I would feel extremely confident of getting my Dream Job.
On the other hand -->Given the current political scene in the US--> I must confess,I would not be that confident taking even a small loan.

So,Unless I had an offer from M7 (with $$$), I would go to ROTMAN.
Can never go wrong with that.
I hope it helps

Hi BrunoP,

Apart from FT, Economist MBA rankings also provide you an option to compare US schools with MBA programs from other countries.

For your specific query of Fisher vs Rotman, Fisher was ranked 44th globally; however, Rotman was not ranked by the Economist.

Narenn According to mba.com students of Kelley have
5 years work experience on avrg. But you wrote here 3+. How did you calculate??

Hi rma26

I have not included work experience in the ranking table; where did you see that? :-) The number you are referring is perhaps average GPA, not work experience.

BTW, the data shown in our ranking table is taken from US News MBA rankings, so there can be some variation between stats shown in our ranking table and those on mba.com.

Narenn Oh yes! I got that later! I also found differences in gmat score in some cases. May be that is for regular change happening in admissions. btw, did you collected data for 69th ranked Babson College from their 1year MBA prog or 2year??

I need a help also. I am looking for full fund. So How should I use mid 80% gmat scores given by schools? Will I have to be in top 10% among applicants? Or higher than average score of students at that prog will be enough? If higher than average score is enough, how many higher than avrg score is proffered ?

It's for 2 year MBA.

Every school has its own criteria to award scholarships. GMAT is important but schools also consider other aspects of applicant's profile while awarding scholarships. I find the Economist rankings a bit strange... Businessweek and Forbes rankings seem more reliable and conventional. Don't you agree?

Totally agree! check out the combined rankings by Poets and Quants, they do sort of an average of the 5 rankings:
"U.S. News is given a weight of 35%, Forbes, 25%, while both The Financial Times and Businessweek is given a 15% weight, and The Economist, 10%".

Narenn can you add a new column stating the duration of the programme? etc 1year/2year for the full time MBA rankings

All the Full time MBA programs in the US are two year programs.
For other countries it is usually shorter.
