Could you tell me which universities would accept students without work ex? And would a gmat score of 540 cut it in anyof them?

There are many MBA programs willing to take your money, and give you a subpar product with little to no job prospects.

The main question I have is... why MBA, why now?

I was just wondering if any of you guys have an idea how the AVERAGE Ranking has been calculated. It's not making sense to me. For instance University of Minnesota ranked higher the Penn State in all of the four publications from US News, FT, BW, and Economist, but somehow had an average rank lower than Penn State.

Can someone chime in please?

Odd. Unless they are weighing acceptance rates REALLY heavily it makes no sense. I wouldn't concern myself with it honestly. It's pretty damn far from being a legit ranking and there's already enough (too much?) of those out there.

I also think that US news rankings are the best.... Although they don't publish World Rankings but still good enough for US schools. Also is anybody aware of course concentration based rankings? Have not been able to find something good...

I think you just nailed the problem with rankings. If you take a look at the different school statistics on this website BestMatchForYou you'll notice regional differences in post-grad employment, life-style differences etc. Clearly some employers hire by geography not just by tank. And when it gets into program style, curriculum or specialization... it gets too difficult to properly rank. But you can use the site I mentioned to compare and make your own decision.

Didn't WSJ use to publish MBA rankings as well? I think I remember seeing something like this. Or did they stop?

@Narenn Thanks a lot for the list. I wanted to know which is the most reliable and suitable source for 2014 MBA rankings for MBA FULL TIME ( US + International )

We can not explicitly state which is most reliable as each of these companies ranks business schools with its own criteria; however, for US schools, people generally tend to refer rankings published by US News, Forbes, & Economist, and for International schools, rankings of BusinessWeek, FT.

IIM Ahmedabad is ranked 30th and IIM Bangalore is ranked 36th by Financial Times 2014, which is not included in the ranking charts in the first post. The reason is FT, unlike all others, does not publish separate rankings for International schools.

Also any of IIM-A, IIM-B, and ISB, is not in the rankings of BW and Forbes.

If possible in future we should have ranking for different countries.
I mean FT already has "global MBA ranking". We can have that list here and have an option to sort by country.

Anyways, great efforts so far :)

It's nice seeing higher acceptance rates (50%+) for some of the top 50 schools...gives me hope with a low UGPA and a GMAT score I have yet to receive!

I am also looking for the ranking of 1 year - 16 months programs.
Also - can you please guide me as to which programs have an internship included, as I feel they are extremely helpful in getting placements.
Bro, the only reasonable program that fulfills your time and internship requirements is INSEAD.
If you extend the time thingy to 18 months, then you can include LBS too.
But no reasonable program will offer you internship and short program duration in a bundle...
As far as rankings are concerned, you may refer to the following.
    Kellogg
    Johnson
    Emory
    USC
    Notre Dame
    Boston U.
    Babson
    Thunderbird
    Florida (Hough)
    Katz
    Pepperdine
    Willamette (Atkinson)

Reference - Poets & Quants

New 2014 BusinessWeek Rankings are out! Please update the list accordingly!

https://www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings
So I was just reading through this ranking. Could someone help me with this: What is the deal with this ranking? In all other rankings (Economist, FT, USNews), the ranking are more or less similar, probably just a change of +/- 1-2 places here and there. But how do Bloomberg rankings have such huge changes for the B School? Why is that?
