Hey Guys,
Congratulations to everyone who got the invites!
I got one last year, and if I remember correctly, they (almost) all went out in one wave. So chances are pretty slim going forward. I guess I'm not going to make it to LGO.

Thanks for clearing that up. Just made the deposit to Stanford. I marked LGO as declined the moment they sent the invites out and I didn't get one but I kept up some hope. Good luck to the guys who will be interviewing and to the rest, I hope you find another equally awesome path. Cheers everyone!

Hey Guys,
Congratulations to everyone who got the invites!
I got one last year, and if I remember correctly, they (almost) all went out in one wave. So chances are pretty slim going forward. I guess I'm not going to make it to LGO.

I'm sorry to hear that :/

So you interviewed last year? Any advice for those of us who will be interviewing in the coming weeks? What should we expect? Any guidance you can offer would be much appreciated.

The interview is pretty straightforward and stress free. They'll ask you about things you've done and try to understand why -
1. When did you fail, what led to that failure?
2. Tell us about a time you didn't get along with your team
3. Tell us about a time when you did something that was extraordinary. Do you wish you'd done better there?

Secondly, why LGO?
1. Tell us why you want to come to this program.
2. Which partner companies would you like to work with.

Overall, I think LGO expects you to make a case that LGO is THE program for you. I think I got a little nervous and fluffed that part. Ok, very nervous and fluffed that part. Most importantly, remain calm - at this stage they want to keep you. You just have to give them a reason to. All the best, hope that helps

This is VERY useful information. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get an interview this year. :/ Are you trying again next year, or are you going to a different program?

Agreed, this was very helpful and aligns with everything I've heard about the Sloan/LGO interview so far. Thank you for sharing your insights!

Harshad...thanks for clearing that up. It seems I haven't gotten the invite as well. For those who have, good luck with your interviews :)

Would any invitee be kind enough to check how many interview slots are left? Just want to gauge my chances.

I'm surprised there are still spots left.

Perhaps 10 people needed to do Skype interviews and these would've been their spots?

That does seem to be the case, but then that means only 80 people are being interviewed for 65 or so seats out of which 45-50 people accept. That seems like a really high success ratio given that Sloan interviews a much higher bunch for MBA's

I guess the highest hurdle is crossed then! Hopefully at least...

If they are only interviewing 80 people, that's an insanely good success rate...

Yeah, it would be nice. I originally said 80 because I logged into the portal right after the invitation email came through and saw at MOST 20 interview slots on each of the 4 interview days. But I'm by no means an authority on this so I could be way off...

I got one finally earlier today. :). I will interview. Although it's quite ironic since I've paid the deposit to Stanford and if I do get in it will make choosing LgO harder now.

Edit: I don't know if its better to go to the program that is my first choice or to one that made me their first choice.
