I see what you mean, but the pressure is real. I learned that at any given point, Sloan keeps 100-150 people on the waitlist! WHAT!

Anybody trying to get a current student/alum write a letter of support? i don't feel comfortable doing this because I do not know many people there closely enough to warrant a meaningful letter of support.

That number decreases as the round 2 deposit deadline approaches because people get tired of waiting and accept other offers. If you are dead set on MIT Sloan and you want to be strategic, I would reach out to them again once the list narrows down a bit, and reaffirm they are your number one. I only sent one update and have no intention of asking for current/alum support. Just like you, I do not have anyone who knows me well, so I feel that a weak letter of support could do more harm than good.

Do R1 WL-ers expect to hear a call on April 3 if they are moved from the waitlist? Come on, Sloan!

Yes. According to the AdCom waitlisted applicants will be accepted, rejected, or waitlisted on the 3rd. Earlier notification is possible but it wouldn't be a good thing.

From a recent interview with Dawna Levenson, "We used to keep people waitlisted in round 1 to round 3 (if not accepted off the waitlist in round 2), but now for the most part we are only looking at people to admit from round 1 in round 2, or reject. There may always be an exception, but that’s the general rule. We ask people at every point in the process whether or not they want to remain on the waitlist."

It seems that for the majority of us, a final decision will be made and it will be unlikely that we are kept on the waitlist after the round 2 decision.

It’s true. I love Ross and will matriculate there. I do dislike anxiety and anticipation. I want a decision, Mr. Garcia.

Apparently I was wrong/misinformed based on the post on Livewire. The admitted applicant from the waitlist sounds legit. Getting crazier & more stressful!

My letter is gone as well. I'd expect the same situation as R1. Call for acceptance and letter update for WL or Ding.

My letter disappeared and then it came back (this morning). Not that it matters since we are finally getting a decision today haha
