I concur, and I would like to add that one does not need to take numerous third-party mock tests to be adequately prepared. The official questions should be our primary source of exercise and learning.

Good luck!

Hello,

Can anyone suggest me which of the below test series is closest to GMAT?

Experts Global 15 mocks
Veritas Prep 7 Mocks
MGMAT 6 Mocks

Thanks,
Pavan.

Based on my own experience i would rank these test as:

1. Manhattan GMAT
2. Expert Global (CAT question mimics GMAT Prep, so if you take GMAT Prep CAT after taking Expert Global's your score might inflate)
3. Veritas (Quality of question is good)

Good Luck

I think the best prep tests are the test pack 1&2 that you buy on official site.
But definitely if you're out of those, here's my take-

I think the tests on MGMAT don't have proper GMAT like Questions (some questions)

Veritas has a horrible UI, THEY NEED TO MAKE A GMAT like UI. Questions wise, it's okay.

Expert's Global should be used if you're out of the official tests. I've taken 2 tests though. I suppose, if you wanna pace yourself, they have a good UI, Questions are similar to actual GMAT. The SC Questions are more difficult than actual GMAT. Other advantage is that expert's global gives you 15 mocks, non-repeatable, so that your score doesn't inflate.

So I think Expert's Global if you need to pick one.

But if you have enough money to buy 2, I'd say EG and MGMAT.

Also, buy or get GMAT Club tests too. The RCs are tricky and hard, you'll like it too.

Hi VANUKURIPAVAN,

To start, a CAT is really a 'measuring device' - when used correctly, it will give you a realistic score and help define your strengths and weaknesses, but it will NOT help you to fix any of those weaknesses. To raise your scores, you have to learn the necessary Tactics and put in the proper practice and repetitions. The CAT will show you whether your studies are helping you to improve or not. As such, you really shouldn't take more than 1 FULL CAT per week.

The scoring algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than most people realize. Since that algorithm is proprietary, no GMAT company has an exact match for it, thus CAT scores can vary a bit based on the 'biases' involved in their respective designs. The most realistic CATs available are the 6 from GMAC (the 2 free CATs, and each of the 2 that come with Exam Pack 1 and Exam Pack 2), but retaking a CAT that you've already taken is NOT a realistic way to assess your skills - since you will likely see some 'repeat' questions that you have already faced. Unfortunately, seeing even a couple of repeats can 'throw off' the Scoring Algorithm and impact your pacing, energy levels, fatigue, etc. (meaning that they would likely all appear to be better than they actually are). Thankfully, the CATs from Kaplan, MGMAT and Veritas are all 'close enough' to the real thing that they will provide you with a relatively realistic score assessment (assuming that you correctly take the CAT in a realistic fashion).

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Vanukuripavan,

Are you asking because you already have taken all 6 official GMAC practice exams?
