Hello!

I'm an Automation & Control Engineer in Electrical domain in Steel manufacturing industry, having experience of 10+ years.
Now, I'm 35 years of age. I'm planning to opt for GMAT at the early of next year (2019).
And, planning to enroll MBA programme in 2020 when I'll be at the age of 36+ years and 11+ years of experience.

It was not a long term dream for me to have MBA, but during the period of my present employment I strongly feel MBA should be the best option for my career interest and growth as well.

It will be helpful, if you put your valuable comments below regarding my queries below.

What would be my approach towards MBA or EMBA?
What be the perfect GMAT score for me to avail scolarship for MBA or EMBA? Am I applicable for Scholarship?
What are the school I should be looking for MBA or EMBA in India and abroad as well according to best ROI?


I've mentioned briefly my profile details below.


My Profile:

10+ percentage : 81.5% (1999)
12+ percentage : 63% (2001)
Enrolled for Diploma in Engineering in 2002, after break in academic for 1 year (due to critical desease). But, didn't complete diploma and enrolled for B.Tech in 2003.
B.Tech CGPA: 7.82 (in Electronics & Communication, passed out in 2007).

Experience in Project & Maintenance domain : 10+ years.
Project handled in India and Abroad.
International Experience : 1 year in different countries (Germany, China, Iran)

Employment Details:

2007 - 2008 : Utility Powertech Limited as Electrical Engineer
2008 - 2009 : IMS MACO Services Pvt Ltd. as Engineer Trainee
2009 - 2012 : IMS MACO Services Pvt Ltd. as Assistant Manager - Service & Project
2012 - 2018 : Jindal Stainless Ltd. as Associate Manager - Electrical & Automation

Awards:

STAR Awards for valuable contribtion in my present employment.
Best Employee Award in my present employment.

Leadership Role:

Serving as Radiological Safety Officer for long 6 years for the whole manufacturing unit nominated by my present employer and accridated and approved by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai.

- Maintaining all documentation jobs regarding radiological safety.
- Regular Monitoring of whole plant on radiological safety aspect and
- Conduct Training and imparted training to increasing awareness on Radiological Safety.

Certifications :

1. Radiation Safety on Nucleonic Gauge from AERB.BARC, Mumbai.
2. Six Sigma Green Belt Professional from Henry Hervin University.
3. Total Productive Maintenance Professional from Management & Strategy Institute - Globally accepted certification having 12 PDU.
4. Project Management from RICE University, one of the Ivy League College.
5. Professional certificate of competency in Instrumentation, Automation and Process Control issued by Engineering
Institute of Technology, Australia approved by International Society of Automation (ISA).

Associate Members of following professional bodies:
1. Indian Institute of Engineers, India
2. Quality forum of India.

Extracurricular Activities:

Painting, mainly watercolor painting and pencil sketch.
Associate Members of
1. International Watercolor Society.

My painting once selected in
1. International contest was conducted by "Global Association of Watercolor Artists"
2. International contest was conducted by "Abu Rawash International Art Prize"
3. National contest was conducted by Keshav Art Foundation.

My painting selsected in the International catlouge/magazine of "Abu Rawash Prize"

Hello samprit2014

You have a strong profile.
If you can
1) show a spike in admission factors mentioned here
2) Build a narrative around career goals (read here)
3) display a need of an MBA at this stage of your life/career
You may have a decent shot.
For Indians schools target a 700+.
Scholarship is a tricky subject and not all schools are equally liberal on scholarships and people with high work ex. So to shortlist the right set of schools, one will need to understand a bit more.
