Hello. How do i solve this?

A motorcyclist rode to work at an average speed of 15 miles per hour and returned home
along the same route at an average speed of 45 miles per hour. If his entire traveling
time was 1 hour, what was the total number of miles in the round trip?
(A)15 1/2
(B) 22
(C) 30
(D) 36 1/2
(E) 45

I think the answer is 22.5 but it’s not one of the options.

Distance = Speed * time
Let distance by x miles

From home to work
Time = x/15

From work to home

Time = x/45

x/15 + x/45 = 1
(Together the time is one hour)

Solving this we get
x = 45/4 miles

Total distance = 2x = 45/2 = 22.5

Something wrong with the options.

12 miles represent 1 - (1/3 + 2/5) = 4/15 of the total distance:

4/15 * x = 12
