Can anyone plz guide what should i do to improve my time limit in Verbal section ..Gave 2 mocks till now , appx 10 questions are left out in both for verbal ...kindly guide as this affects my score to a great extent ! although my accuracy is good in verbal.

You mean you are taking 10 questions in 40 minutes? Like you are out of time for the last 10 questions?

My 2 cents: Try not to leave ANY question unattempted once the timer ends. Accuracy will not help you if there are questions left behind without an answer option selected.
In my 1st mock, got a shocking sub-400 score as I couldn't attempt few questions from each section towards the end..read around and found that GMAT imposes huge penalties for questions that were never attempted in the test.
Took another mock and with almost a similar verbal percentile result (and all questions attempted this time) the score jumped to 550+. So yes, it's THAT BIG of a difference!

Hello All, I am currently in the practice phase of GMAT FE writing mocks. Planning on applying to M7 in the R1 deadlines. Just wanted to know if it's possible considering the timeline? If yes, how much time is required for readying the whole application?

Taking the difficulty levels used here, how is the difficulty level distribution in a real Test for someone performing 705-755? Curious about how the algorithm works.

Is everybody getting unnecessary geometry and old GMAT syllabus questions while giving mocks today?
Very strange

Is this because of the "free day"?

I Just want to understand one thing. If I give a mock today the number of my remaining mocks won't decrease right ?

They do decrease because the question pool is the same. Taking a mock uses up one from your remaining mocks.

Can you provide the links or screenshots of those questions? Hardcore geometry is no longer tested on the GMAT, but that doesn’t mean a question can’t involve simple concepts like a cube or a circle.


Check these two topics:

  1. GMAT Syllabus for Focus Edition
  2. Geometry Tested on GMAT Focus?

While specific geometry knowledge is not tested on GMAT Focus, not everything involving shapes, volumes, or areas requires specialized geometry knowledge. The area of a square or rectangle, the volume of a cube or rectangular solid, and the Pythagorean theorem are not considered specific geometry knowledge by the GMAT and can still be tested. Moreover, a question can involve shapes but test another area, such as combinations or other topics. There are several questions involving these concepts in the GMAT Prep Focus mocks.­
