Hi,

I recently gave my GMAT and scored a 650 (Q47 V33 AWA 5.0). I wanted to know if this score is enough to apply to ISB with a strong enough profile.

I have three years work experience working as a consultant for 2 years at a KPO and currently working at Deloitte.

BTech (Mechanical) and MBA (Marketing) - CGPA 3.3/4.0 from NMIMS

Hello shaardulm23

While 650 is considerably low for ISB, a deeper answer can be given only by understanding the nature of your work, career progression, achievements, extracurricular and most importantly long term career goals (and the need to study at ISB). You can read more on these factors here and career goals here.
While a 650 can be enough for some very strong profiles, with the limited I cannot comment whether you have a realistic chance.

Hi Shaardulum,

I am going to advise you to retake the GMAT. Its a highly competitive process, and every part of the application matters (this was recently quoted to me by an ISB adcom member). Although applicants do get in with low GMAT scores, but its only a miniscule number of them. Unless you have a very differentiated profile, its not something I recommend. With two deadlines to go, you will have the time to retake and apply.

Also, you should explain in your app, why you need a second MBA.
