My name is Abhishek.
I have a total of 9 years Experience,but my Experience is in multiple profiles:
1: TRF(A TATA Group Enterprise)-3 years(approx)
2. Family Construction Business Experience-2 years
3. Swan Group-Project Marketing division-1.5 years approx
4. Public Sector Bank-Asst Mgr-Operations,Marketing and Customer Relations-2.5years(ongoing)

Will i face problem due to experience in 2 different verticals Core Electrical and Banking?

Here is my take on this:
You should not face any problem, if you have justifiable reasons for these shifts. It will be important to explain your career progressions and learnings from these jobs in your application. Additionally, the diverse experience that you possess, should be leveraged to build a strong SOP; do focus on that.

Can any IIMC-MBAEx alum or current student helps in decoding the SoP . What exactly IIMC is asking by this SoP and to write? Please help.

Statement of Purpose

This should include an objective and clear statement on why you want to join the MBAEx programme. What qualities, experience and achievements do you have to justify your admission; what types of jobs and at what level do you expect after successful completion of MBAEx. (Word limit 500words).

Hi - suppose I submit my application in Round 1 with my current score, and get a better score in my attempt around Sept 03. Can I then send across my updated GMAT Score report to IIM-C for consideration? Will they be open to assessing my application in light of the (hopefully) improved score?

Hi!

This will not work. You have to complete your entire application (including GMAT score) for R1. Once rejected in R1, you cannot apply in future rounds.
If the college plans to accept GMAT scores till a certain date, they will explicitly state that on the website (as in the case with IIM A). I do not see any such date for IIM C and hence you have to complete your application with your score before the deadline.

This is similar to any other b-school SOPs. The question is also quite self-explanatory (although it is much more difficult to draft it).
IIM C would like to see your clarity of thoughts on a few things listed below: (since you have 5+ yrs of experience, it is key you have a clear vision and the ability to judge your capabilities and skills)

- Why MBA, Why IIM C?
- Why should they select you?
- What are your future goals after MBA?

1. 6 years SAP Techno-functional IT expereience (mostly Technical Consulting role). Have Leadership portfolio at multiple occasions. have been part of Small/Mid/big MNCs (4 org transitions)

4. Extensive NGO experience and can show portfolio regarding same

Hello Ankit!

I don't personally believe in profile review of applicants. Nevertheless, on looking at what you have mentioned, I find no reasons for you not being called for the interviews in the first place. Having a good GMAT score, writing an impactful SoP and selling your USPs in the interview will definitely put you in an advantage for being selected. I still stand by my opinion of not believing in profile reviews and if you would want to know why, please check this video of mine.

The admission process for MBAEx does not involve GD and WAT. It's just a personal interview.

Usually the pre-study modules will be given a month or 45 days before the start of the course. IIM-C will communicate with all the admitted students.
