But we need the percentage right? So even if we don’t have exact count but relation between it in a way that we have same unknown term, it should be fine. Shouldn’t it?
Hi Disha, I have posted the reasoning in the reply againgst the post. Edited it according to the new statements that I see. Let me know if it is still unclear. Sorry about the ugly looking fractions, the GMAT Club formatting is not very clear to me as I’m still new to posting around here.

Three retailers A, B, and C bought the same item for sale at the same cost price. Retailer A decided to have a 50% mark-up and offered 40% discount on the marked price. Retailer B had a 100% mark-up and offered two successive discounts of 30% and 30% on the marked price. A. B > C > A
B. B > A > C
C. C > A > B
D. C > B > A
E. A > B > C

Foreman: I would like to request that my team utilize the FSTS welding rigs rather than the Wayland TS rigs for the next construction project. Training new welders on the FSTS costs almost thirty percent less.

Manager: That is not especially compelling reasoning. We can simply hire only experienced welders, who can use the Wayland TS without training.

Which of the following, if true, most seriously undermines the manager's objection to using FSTS welding rigs rather than the Wayland TS rigs?

A. Experienced welders expect much higher wages than do prospective welders who are comparatively inexperienced.
B. Once welders are fully trained, they tend to be more ready than they were before to seek new employers.
C. At present, all new welders employed by the company must attend seminars on how to use Wayland TS welding rigs.
D. The mean productivity of welders in the manager’s company is below the average productivity of welders employed by its competitors.
E. FSTS welding rigs are more expensive to maintain than Wayland TS rigs, due to the high cost of replacement parts.

Although many athletes rely on electrolyte-enriched sports drinks, which can provide almost all of the medically recommended electrolyte requirement, to regulate their hydration level while training, a well-balanced diet, including a variety of foods, is a better source of those electrolytes than are such electrolyte-enriched sports drinks.

Which of the following, if true, would most strongly support the position above?

A. Sports drinks often must be enriched with electrolytes because the natural electrolytes found within the drinks’ ingredients are removed when they are processed.
B. Athletes who regularly drink electrolyte-fortified sports drinks sometimes neglect to eat the foods in which the electrolytes naturally occur.
C. In many foods, the natural combination of electrolytes with other minerals makes those electrolytes more usable by the body than are the electrolytes added in sports drinks.
D. Unprocessed alternatives to sports drinks are naturally high in several of the electrolytes that are usually added to electrolyte-enhanced sports drinks.
E. Sports drinks containing electrolyte supplements are no harder for the body to process than similar sports drinks without added electrolytes.

Recently, many hospitals have moved from the traditional hospital model to a Patient-Centered hospital model, wherein healthcare systems work closely with practitioners, patients, and families to align decisions with patients’ wants and needs. In Europe, hospitals that have adopted the Patient-Centric model have seen a considerable improvement in recovery rates.

If, on the basis of the evidence above, it is argued that the Patient-Centered hospital model increases recovery rates, which of the following, if true, would most seriously weaken that argument?

A. Results that are similar to the ones cited for Europe have been found in other geographies where the Patient-Centric hospital model is used.
B. Many hospitals have seen an influx of new medical technology in the last seven years, and most of these introduced the Patient-Centric hospital model at the same time.
C. Because introducing the Patient-Centric hospital model greatly changes an individual doctor’s relationship with a patient, negotiating the introduction of the Patient-Centered hospital model is complicated and laborious.
D. Under the Patient-Centric hospital model, the cost of treatment and accommodation will make up an increased proportion of the total cost to the hospital per patient.
E. In hospitals in which the Patient-Centric model is followed, the average cost to the patients is twenty percent less than that in hospitals in which the traditional model is followed.

Article: Joining a trade union typically offers more job security than working independently does because of collective bargaining. Workers in a union can support each other to secure wages and benefits that they could not secure on their own. Further, since unions employ lawyers to argue on the workers’ behalf, union workers spend far less time negotiating the terms of their employment than non-union workers do.

The two portions in boldface play which of the following roles in the article’s argument?

(A) The first is the main conclusion of the argument; the second is another conclusion that supports the first one.
(B) The first is a premise, for which no evidence is provided; the second is the only conclusion of the argument.
(C) The first is a conclusion that supports the second; the second is the main conclusion of the argument.
(D) The first is the only conclusion of the argument; the second is a premise, for which no support is provided.
(E) Both are premises, for which no support is provided, and both support the only conclusion of the argument.
