Anyone please tell me the best approach for this question,

Ram and Bharat travel the same distance at the rate of 6 km per hour and 10 km per hour. If ram takes 30 minutes longer than Bharat

, the distance travelled by each is?

Distance = Speed * time, lets suppose bharat takes t hrs so ram will take t +1/2 (ram speed * (t + 1/2)) = (bharat speed * t)

calculate t and then distance either using bharat speed or ram speed.

Ram and Bharat travel the same distance at the rate of 6 km per hour and 10 km per hour. If ram takes 30 minutes longer than Bharat
Time by R =d/6 and by B =d/10, so (d/6)-(d/10)=1/2…..2d/30=d/15=1/2….d=15/2. OR let us work for equal distance and time taken. 30km: R will take 5 hours and B will take 3 hours. Thus, r takes 2 hours more when distance is 30 km or 2/4 hrs more when distance is 30/4 that is 7.5km

Given profit is 50%
1 litre milk y litre water

((1+y)*(1+x/100)c - c) = 50%

You have 2 unknown any extra information will help. A and B both give extra info using that you can solve.
So both equation are sufficient

Is the answer 80% as
total not rented = 15
not rented with AC = 12
therefore not rented and AC = (12/15 )* 100 = 0.8*100 = 80%

One night a certain hotel rented 3/4 of its rooms, including 2/3 of their air conditioned rooms. If 3/5 of its rooms were air conditioned, what percent of the rooms that were not rented were air conditioned?

A. 20
B. 33 1/3
C. 35
D. 40
E. 80

Let's consider the total number of rooms to be 100.

Since "3/5 of the rooms were air conditioned", the number of air conditioned rooms = 3/5*100 = 60.

Since "3/4 of the rooms were rented", the number of rooms that were NOT rented = 1/4*100 = 25.

Since "2/3 of the air conditioned rooms were rented", the number of air conditioned rooms that were NOT rented = 1/3*60 = 20.

The question asks to find what percent of the rooms that were not rented were air conditioned:

(air conditioned rooms that were NOT rented)/(rooms that were NOT rented)*100 = 20/25*100 = 4/5*100 = 80%.

Answer: E.­

X Δ Y = (X ∪ Y) - (X ∩ Y)

Given:
|X| = 10
|Y| = 18
|X ∩ Y| = 6


|X ∪ Y| = |X| + |Y| - |X ∩ Y|

|X ∪ Y| = 10 + 18 - 6 = 22

|X Δ Y| = |X ∪ Y| - |X ∩ Y|

|X Δ Y| = 22 - 6 = 16

Thus, the number of integers in X Δ Y is:
16
