I have worked at par with people of 10+ years experience and have been recognised for the good work by my customer.
I am an Engineer with a GPA of 9.7/10. My X and XII standard score is 86.2% for both.
I aspire to join the Consulting field after graduating from a Business School.
I need help in choosing the Bschools to apply to. As of now I am considering the following schools:
1. ISB
2. SP Jain(pgdm with gmat score)
3. NUS
4. Duke Fuqua
5. HEC Paris
6. Insead
7. LBS
Are these schools reachable?
Please let me know about other universities where I have a good chance of getting in. It would be helpful if you could classify them as Dream, Reachable and Safe schools. I am open to studying in any geography.
Also, I am little scepticle about the Tution fees that top colleges at US and UK demand. Please let me know which ones are worth spending on.
Looking forward for your prompt reply.
Thanks and Regards,
Ankit
Hi Ankit,
I'd advise you to work another 1-2 years, beef up your candidature, retake the GMAT and then apply.
The typical work experience at US b-schools is 4-6 years, for the European b-schools it gets a little higher. Acquiring more work experience will give you time to make more impact at your company/ earn a promotion and also build experience which is necessary for peer to peer learning.
You can also use the available time to build leadership out side of work, by getting active in the community.
