Hello admission experts,
I recently gave the GMAT and scored a 720 (Q 50, V 37, IR 8, AWA 6). It was below my target score of 750+.
However, I wanted to know whether I stand a chance with a score for admission in my target B schools. I am also planning to retake the GMAT.
My target schools (am planning to apply in R-2. May apply in R-1 for Kenan Flagler):
Kellog
Darden
Fuqua
Anderson
Tuck
Kenan-Flagler
ISB
I have a B. Tech and an M. Tech from IIT Madras. My CGPA is 7.5/10. I have around 5.5 years of work-experience. I have been working in ZS Associates for 3.5 years. I also founded an NGO in Pune 2 years ago and am currently heading it.
Hey dude,
Well... a 720 will make you viable for those schools, and my initial advice would be to try and make it in with a 720, and keep the GMAT retake as a backup plan if you dont make it this year.
I mean basically you need to make a decision: Do you spend more time on the GMAT? Or start working on applications?
With a 720, I would say you are good for now as far as the GMAT goes, but you need to start working on the rest.
I mean yo are an IIT grad, so that's great!
For your work experience, its a biiiit hard to tell how strong (or unstrong
) that might be, because I lack detail. But do feel free to drop us a line and fill out a full on questionnaire for a Free profile evaluation,
Best,
Jon
