2.5 years work at Godrej consumer product in Sustainability.

Past 5 years handling my family business of chemical manufacturing in Vapi, Gujarat.

My past 5 years in my SSI have taught me that I require a lot of skills which I currently lack in my business operation and hence by doing an MBA I think will club that gap, also aid a smoother transition to corporate.

Just wanted to know if this score is good enough for R2 application at ISB

  5. Work experience. Total work ex: ~5 years across multiple industries in Sales, Field Operations, Central Operations and Central Business
    1. Work ex 1: Oxfordcaps (Student housing startup): Designation - Sales Manager. Joined in October 2019 till Feb 21 till the company got shut down due to covid. I was tasked to build the B2B sales pipeline and overall business developement in South India. Responsible for commercial proposals, client service delivery & key account management, site visits and follow ups. Manpower estimation and team building, training & development and resource management.
    2. ­Work ex 2: GoodWorker, A TEMASEK Entity (Blue-collar worker platform): Designation - State Head Operations. Joined in Feb 21 till July 22 till the company shut down due to funding winter in Indian startups. Started as a State Head for Delhi NCR and role got expanded as a Regional Head for North. Responsible for building and scaling end-to-end fulfilment of blue-collar jobs to over 15,000 monthly jobs within four months of joining & secured a total of 250,000+ jobs across various sectors during my tenure (Delivery, BPOs, Textile)
      1. Received Top Achiever Award for delivering 400x growth in fulfilment and 7x growth in the Vendor Channel over a span of two quarters leading to revenue growth from Top Logistics Clients.
      2. Received Best Captain Award for managing Zonal fulfilment operations across Delhi, Punjab, J&K, and Rajasthan, leading a team of 15+ members & achieved ground-level sourcing targets and built the overall territory from the ground up.
    3. Work ex 3: Embibe, A Reliance Jio Venture (SAAS - Ed-Tech): Designation: Senior Manager Customer Success and Service Delivery. Joined in July 22 till Feb 24. 0-1 Setup and Leading Customer Success and Delivery Center of Excellence with over 35 members, achieving significant improvements in Account Onboarding, Go Live TAT, Issue Resolution and overall Operations process. Reduced Onboarding time from 7 days to under 12 hours, Go Live time from 36 days to 7 days, and Issue Resolution time from 2 days to under 2 hours. Successfully achieved an Account NPS of 75% within 8 months of operations, actively addressing detractors and achieving a 20% monthly reduction.
    4. Work ex 4 (current): Gourmet Investments Private Limited, A Bharti Group Entity (F&B): Designation: Senior Manager - Delivery Operations. Joined in Feb 24 and currently employed. Handling food delivery operations for 2 gourmet brands - PizzaExpress and Chili's across India with 37 restaurants. Total business size: 40Cr.
      1. Recognition for creating multiple tools for VOC, operations excellence. Awared by Company leadership for being a cross-functional champion.
  6. Planning to prepare for GMAT for admission into top institutes in India or abroad. Looking for evaluation on profile on whether I should attempt GMAT with the current profile or not.

Hi Keshavkabra1,

Your academic profile combined with your corporate and family business work experience shows diversity in skills which can act in your favour in your R2 ISB applications. You have a strong motive to pursue an MBA which needs to reflect in your essays.

While the GMAT/GRE requirement is waived for the April 2025 intake, this policy might change for subsequent intakes. Keep an eye on ISB's website for updates or email the admissions committee.

As far as your admission is concerned, ISB doesn't have specific cut-offs for GPAs or work experience. They follow a holistic evaluation approach.

Applying in R2 is still feasible. However, focus on crafting a compelling application that highlights your unique experiences and how you'll contribute to the ISB community.

  3. UG COLLEGE: IIT Madras / IIT Delhi / IIT Bombay[Integrated Dual Degree in Biological Sciences]. "Does this get me into the Average IT Indian Male profile"
  4. Corporate Strategy Intern in South Indian FMCG Firm(worked on the firm's differentiation strategy & proposed to launch a new product itself, senior leadership started working on the project)
  5. Research Project based on Artificial Neural Network Model with American Express Data Analytics, Risk & Technology Lab(built financial models to predict the risk-return profile of Indian startups)
  6. Internship with a boutique VC(Created Investment Memos for urban-tech & B2B Industrial-tech startups, aided them in raising INR 4.8 Cr collectively.)

Does my low GMAT score & low CGPA affect my candidacy a lot? I applied for Round 1 for HEC Paris MiM. Can I also get the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship?
I hardly had 10 days to prepare for my GMAT test because I wanted to apply for HEC's MiM program for Round1 for Eiffel Excellence Scholarship. Should I retake GMAT test to boost my score? If yes, by how much? I feel, I've to work a little on my Verbal & DI.
