I am starting out my applications for MBA from Canada next year 21' intake. I am researching universities so that I can shortlist some and apply to them.
My profile reads:
Education: BBA(India) with 7.5/10 and then Masters in International Business(UK) 2:1
Gmat: Will take in 2 weeks time
IELTS: 7
Experience: approx 4 years
After my masters, I did around 9 months of job in India as a business development executive in a digital marketing firm.
Then I started on my own venture, which didn't last for more than 1.2 years and had to scrape it off and then again I started another firm with a friend which I am still doing and its been almost 2 years.
I want to understand that do business schools in Canada give value for an entrepreneurship experience? if yes, then what all universities in Canada, prefer/considers such profile.

Hey,
It really depends on your Post MBA goal. You are puzzle piece that the school wants to check their 'fit' with. I can give you some help and perspective for the Top 2 schools that I have researched on -
1. Rotman (University of Toronto) - Since it is in financial hub of the country, most of Post-MBA (30%) of class ends up in one of Top 5 banks in Canada. If your goal is in BFSI, then by all means this is THE go-to-school. They have something called Creative Destruction Lab for building a silicon valley in Canada, and as an entrepreneur you will greatly benefit from this (if that's your goal). Rotman will be a good fit for a holistic 2-year program where you want to make lot of connections and eventually launch a startup through CDL.
2. Ivey Business School - This is a 1 year program and better option than Rotman if you want to go for Management consulting. It's obviously missing an internship experience, but they have good placement records, so it works. As an entrepreneur, you won't have much to gain from this short program (my perspective) as they don't have too many opportunities to significantly LEARN or NETWORK.
