Three attempts would be acceptible--some think more than that is detrimental. It's not uncommon to do better on the practice than the real test, but if you truly think your score can improve with another attempt, I would recommend it, since your applicant pool is so large (Indian Male IT background). HAving said that, if your post MBA vision is compelling and leverges what you have done in the past, then there should be nothing from keeping you back from an attempt at your target schools. Just make sure you demonstrate a good fit with each program and make sure you tell a good story about why now, Why MBA and Why your target school is a good fit.
