Hi,
Yes, I was in combat role in CRPF for 3 years when I was in Kashmir. The team I was part of was a special operations unit.
Post MBA I want to move into consulting. In today's world as companies are trying to venture into new markets, I believe my skills could be better utilized in analyzing the geo-political situations of a region from a different perspective and would help in formulating a long term strategy.
Apart from this I am also working on a small startup since last few months.

Your profile looks nice. Starting with stats, I can see good scores throughout your education. For the GMAT score, if you score a 700+, it will add to your overall candidacy since you have less amount of experience. But even if you score less than 700, it will not be a deal-breaker as long as you present your story well. To comfort you, we have worked with candidates scoring between 600-700 and getting into top programs like LBS. You may want to read a very inspiring story of a candidate. Now, talking about your work-ex, it seems good with a promotion, international experience (yes, you do have it, to understand and present it better, read this), top names associated with your profile and I hope some leadership experience as well. Your ECs and community experience seem good too especially the fact that you still play table-tennis which shows your passion/love towards the game. If you want to capitalize on it, you may express how you will pursue this game ahead in HEC. Also, for your post-MBA goals, "consulting" seems very common and vague. Try to connect it with your prior career and future aspirations and make the, unique, detailed and yours

Overall, I see HEC is a great choice considering your past career and career goals. But you may want to apply to a few other schools as safety and targets to back on. You are welcome to hop on a call with us to brainstorm these schools and your chances there.

Hi All,
I wanted some honest opinions on my current profile for applying to HEC in the year 2022.
Background: 24, Male, British citizen
Education: Studied Electronics & Telecommunications engineering from a premier college in India with an average GPA
Extra-curricular activities: Led my college's street-theatre club for 4 years. We were a group of 15-20 people who performed plays in public spaces and gatherings for awareness on social topics and have won 40+ accolades for the same.
Work experience: Have been working in a reputed consulting firm for 2 years. Will work for 2 more years before applying
GMAT 1st attempt: 690
GMAT 2nd attempt: Tentatively 720 (Planning to take it in October 2020)
