Hi Max,

That's great about the Sloan connection and I agree about Columbia too.

Yes, the triathlons definitely count, and I agree they showcase strong personal qualities! See what you can do on other ECs -- it would look better to re-engage with an organization you had involvement with before than start something completely fresh, like can you write another article or serve as an alumni advisor to the student club you helped found? Just some ideas!

Good luck, and feel free to reach out to set up a free phone consult if you'd like to discuss your plans in more depth.

Kate

Hi Kate,

Thanks for the thorough response, I appreciate the reassurance in my path. I will definitely look into Kellogg more, I know that Columbia also has some sports management related courses. Appreciate the reminder on Sloan, our club in undergrad actually sent people to that yearly and for some reason I never put 2 and 2 together with the name! I do agree on ECs outside of the firm, I will try a bit to see if I can find anything that fits between now and application time, though I know the short time might look a little superficial then, so will have to work around that. I am a regular triathlete, have been for ~7 years so maybe can discuss that as well. Its not spectacular like volunteering or other ECs, but can use it to showcase some character traits like perseverance if needed.

Thanks again,
Max
