Hi,

I am an Indian Male engineer with 4 years of total experience in supply chain domain. I completed by graduation in 2015 from one of the premium private university of India. WE - 3 Yrs with one of India's leading automobile maker, and currently working with one of India's top ecommerce firm. I recently sat for GMAT and scored 670. What are my chances of getting selected in US colleges with ranking (20 to 40) ?

Fairly good if you ask me. You can try several universities such as UF (warrington), Washington state university, seattle and others that have shown improvements in past. Just make sure your GMAT score is better than the median GMAT score of those universities.
Give Cornell university a shot, it's a long shot but do try.

If you have a fairly good profile, AND I mean really good stats, perhaps I'd consider 2 long shots, USC Marshall/UCLA and Cornell/Duke

4 sure shots (check out the US news rankings between 20-30)
2 Jump on universities (UF- Warrington (rank 25) and perhaps Univ of washington (FOster)- ranked 20 or so)

It also depends on your area of work too. Just going all in on the basis of ranking may not be very beneficial if you donot know what that university is known for.

Appreciation in form of kudos to my posts will help me help others too. TY

By good stats, you mean graduation GPA ? (Sure shots as in good chances of conversion right). Because being from an over-represented ethnicity, people usually say that average GMAT is 20/30 points higher than the stated average on college's website. I guess my case is a borderline case in which mostly the colleges b/t 20-30 have an average GMAT of 660 to 670. Would my current score be suffice ? Also, what is Jump on universities ?

Yes you've got it ll right.
However, you're underestimating your score.
My suggestion to you would be to give GMAT another go, as you can get a better score and if not you can always cancel it.
Also, there are universities that are in top 20 and still have an admit from 650 to 720 range, such as usc marshall
Wharton got a guy with 500 in
Harvard is always unpredictable
That said,
I think you got a sure shot at many good universities in top 15-25, if your application is great
I've seen a guy who dinged Harvard and chose Stanford instead.

There are so many factors that you could consider
And application deadlines are in september, you got a month to prepare again and get a shot in some good universities

Jump on universities are the ones people should not let go when given an opportunity to unless they think they got a better shot next time

Thanks for the inputs! Really appreciate your advice. However, I cancelled my GMAT score after the test. Shall I reinstate my score ?

Majorily, I am talking about US ranking here

US 20-40 ranking colleges won't be difficult for your profile. I would suggest to get a consultant

Thanks for the inputs. But, I cancelled my score after the exam. We have a chance to reinstate the score back right ? Also, which consultant would you suggest to start off my application process ?

1) I am not the right person to suggest any particular consultant; sorry for this.
2) Yes, we can reinstate the score back. And don't ever cancel any score again, because it doesn't do any good in any sense.

Beware of fake consultants

YES!! reinstate your score, if it's just laying there doing no harm, what's the problem. And its uncertain whether new score will be better.
