Hi
Vaibhavgoyal,
Thank you for your post. Ernst & Young is a reputable firm and will help your profile. Your volunteer experience can also be framed in a way that enhances your overall candidacy.
Family businesses can be a bit tricky in the sense that you may have to work a little harder to prove yourself to the admissions committee since they have a harder time evaluating how good your work truly was. That said, a lot of business schools appreciate family businesses and
Personal MBA Coach works with folks from these backgrounds every year.
In terms of program selection, we often advise applicants to target 5 to 8 schools so the 6 schools on your list is a good number.
As for your GMAT score, while 660 isn't bad, I'd look to bring up the Verbal score, which I imagine could bring up some red flags. Do you have capacity to study for 6-8 weeks to try and raise it above 30? This will help maximize your chances for some of the more competitive schools you are considering.
Feel free to send a note to
scott@personalmbacoach.com to discuss your candidacy in more detail and address any additional questions/concerns. We would be happy to help set you up for application success via our
comprehensive packages.
Best,

• Is my profile good enough to get decent scholarships in the school I am targeting?
• What more I can do to strengthen my profile so that my chances of making to these and other prestigious schools increase?
Thanks for your time.
