Anuj,

Your work experience is good.

I'm not sure how you converted the University of Pune score to a GPA - but a 3.1 is not very strong. Your GMAT is low for an Indian application.

To add to this, the fact that you already have an MBA will make application to top schools difficult.

Best would be to improve your GMAT by at least a 100 points. You should then have a convincing explanation for why you need a second MBA. Then your application should go through ok.

Now you should be looking at schools beyond the top 60 - 70 in the US, and outside the top 10 - 15 in Canada.

Best,
Karthik

Thank you for your profile post. I will be very specific and hopefully by honing in on one area it will be easier to fix. Improve your verbal score, hands down. The verbal is too low to get into many good schools in the US or Canada so that is where you should spend your energy. If you are interested in 1:1 tutoring to help get you there, send me a note or click below to read about tutoring options. The 49 in quant is good but we need to focus on verbal.

Good luck!

Dear Anuj,

You had everything going well for you till you hit the GMAT hurdle :)

Experience of working with one of the largest retailers in Dubai, solid extra curriculars, all of these are real good haves. But if we closely examine your academics, there isn't much to highlight and therefore for you,GMAT is critical component to ace. Think about it from an admission officer's perspective, he sees all the good things in your CV and then he has this doubt whether you will be able to manage the academic rigour of a top school because your grades including your GMAT score are a bit below par.

If you are targetting a good school, given your profile, I will definitely state that you should think about retaking your GMAT.

Happy to discuss this further. Talk to me connect@taterways.com
