I am planning to apply to Rotman in R2/R3

Bachelors of Engg. CGPA 7.55 2009
4 years in cisco with a promotion and a year in Holland
a year of backpacking around 23 countries in Europe/asia
3 and a half years of a small travel business (Hostel +Tours) which I started and is sustainable/Profitable
GMAT 780 (Q50 V 47 IR8 AWA 5)
I plan to work in a travel company as product manager post MBA and open a bigger travel business long-term. Are there companies/startups in Toronto for this?
I am thinking of applying in R2 but should be able to submit a better application by R3. What is the difference of chances of admission/Scholarships in R2/R3. Any ideas from last years or Has anyone checked this with the adcoms?

Thank you for your post and congrats on a fantastic GMAT score! That will certainly help you with scholarships. Coming from a former hospitality guy, you have a somewhat unique profile. That said to want to avoid round three ideally. If you are targeting scholarships you are better off waiting for round one when all of the funds are available. Hi SanjayMBA,
1) Any particular reason for Rotman? Presented well, you could get good scholarships to top notch US schools.
2) All things equal, R2 has generally been better than R3. That said, DO NOT APPLY until your application is ready, whatever it takes.
3) You didn't write anything about your post-MBA goals, your LORs etc. They will give a better idea of whether you are ready.
