Hi, I'm current struggling with whether I should go ahead and re-take the GMAT.

I applied last year and didn't get into some schools I was shooting for, and knew that I could have done better on the quant with a little more studying but didn't have time to take the test again before applications were due.

Fast forward a year later, and I've got some additional work experience in a good field, 32 mo vs 24 mo work experience, but am having a little bit of a rough time re-vamping for the GMAT. I'm scoring a little under my official score at the moment, 730 45v 45q. Is it worth it to try to still go ahead and take it, getting a higher quant score? Or is it better to focus on other parts of my application/applications in general?

Thanks for any responses!

what else do you have that points to numeracy? I think the fact you are scoring lower means hang it up and focus on areas of the appwhere you 1) have more control and 2) have a better chance of standing out. I don't think they are going to fear you flunking out because of math.

I really would need to know more in order to be able to answer that, such as what schools you are applying to, how your profile looks otherwise etc. So just to make sure the profile evaluation is as correct as possible I would ask you to share more details and/or fill in this non-binding form on the ARINGO website if you are not comfortable sharing too much detail on a public forum:

Curious, where did you apply last year and which schools dinged you? Your dings may not have been the result of your GMAT but instead a poor application strategy or execution or even just other factors. My hunch is to tell you to focus on your applications and or re-evaluate which schools you are applying to, but the info above would be helpful
