I'm a class of 2014 Rosser and I'm here to help.

You've all brought up some good points so far, but I'd like to calm all your nerves.

For the Indians, I wouldn't worry too much. Ross is very Indian friendly, we have a history of that.
For the GMAT theory, trust me 750 is definitely not a key reason to get interviewed.
The interviews generally come in waves, and the thing with Ross is you are a chance until you get a ding letter - which can be way after initial interview invites go out. So take it as it comes - Ross is awesome! Let me know if you have any questions.

Is there any criteria at all, to split candidates into 2 waves ?

I think its mostly to distribute workload for adcom. But then again they might focus locally first, by interviewing ones who are closer to US and in the next lap go for distant applicants. Not that your location would have any bearing on getting an invite.

I don't think the "waves" are done geographically, but going by last year international acceptances came a day or two later than domestic.
The adcom say the waves are random and they've given us no reason to doubt them.

what is your guess on the percentage of your class that has a gmat between 650 and 630?

Couldn't tell you exactly, I think there is a breakdown available on the website. It will be pretty low though - although I do know a few people in that range.

Businessweeks rankings say the 10th percential at Ross is 650... Thats about all the info out there on it though.

Folks,

Feel free to reach out to me here or via PM as a resource. I was a reapp last year in R2 and was accepted.

Hey,

I am applying in R2 to Ross.

I am international applicant from India.

I have a question about recommendation. The website says both recommendations are preferable from the place you work. Would it be ok IF i take one recommendation from my immediate supervisor and one from my client?

When you get your invitation makes zero difference as far as I can tell. Also, I don't think that it is broken down by anything in particular (except for maybe the time admissions downloads the apps). So, yes, very very early still.

Sooyin indicated that nearly 40 - 50% of the applicants get invited for the interview. Last year, the acceptance rate was 32%. So assuming upper limit of Sooyin's estimates, nearly 64% got a place in the program.

Disclaimer: Last year their yield dropped by a good 20%, so the high acceptance rate might have been an aberration.

From Soojin interview on Poets & Quants:

What percentage of interviewed applicants are accepted?

A high percentage, maybe 70%. I don’t know off the top of my head. Well, we try to interview people who are going to be wait listed as well so we get those assessments in advance. Those in round one who get waitlisted may stack up higher against those applicants in round two. So it’s nice to have already completed the interview.

What is the dress code for the interview? I'll be interviewing off campus in Brazil, this saturday, at Starbucks, so I am thinking on business casual. Is this the best choice?
