Reasons for MBA –
At my current career stage, and the path I've chosen, a management degree (read MBA) makes a lot of sense for further growth and career development, and learning - given that I come from a technical background. An MBA would add on to my current experience and better equip me to take on good positions in Finance/strategy/consulting/management.
During my work, I was a part of one of the big4 accounting firms PwC where I used to deal with applications based on auditing, tax, and finance. And I did the risk analysis of the project before the company moved forward with it.
So, this work experience and engineering background not only developed my technical skills but also my analytical ability. I have that quality in me to quickly grasp complex tasks and problems in the finance sector.
Post-MBA goals:
Career transition into a banking or financial analytics role.
Extracurricular Activities:
• Volunteer mentor for students who want to change their career paths
• Been a member of student placement council during college
• Head of technical club and conducted many symposiums and events.
• "A" Certificate exam in NCC(National Cadet Corps) conducted by the ministry of defense, India.

Schulich, McGill, McMaster, Calgary, Concordia, SFU.
Hi there,
You seem ambitious about pursuing a career in Management - This is reflected in the effort you have put in your work experience. If this aspect is portrayed properly in your application, schools will be interested in it.
Beginning the evaluation with your academic background, your GPA of 6.99 while average, would not pose as a hindrance in your application as the adcoms base their majority judgment on the work experience of MBA applicants
As far as your work experience goes, since an MBA is a manager's degree and requires significant work experience, your 3 years of work experience would put you at par with other applicants. In order to stand out from the crowd, you most certainly focus on your leadership roles and major projects of your work and how these experiences helped to develop and further groom your skills and knowledge. Since you lack big brands in your work experience, you can compensate for this by providing an apt reason as to why you chose these firms, how you have gone beyond the role, any initiatives you undertook, and any kind of impact created to showcase an equally competitive profile.
As for your extracurricular activities, you have a lot of leadership and volunteering roles which all showcase your strong interest in developing your profile holistically. So make sure you elaborate on what you did in the roles and how you handled problems, planned the events, raised funds, etc. You should dig deeper into this aspect and bring out varied skills in your profile. Though to be clear, Adcoms are more interested in impact created rather than participation, hence highlighting your quantifiable achievements would help enhance your application.
You also have participated in a few volunteering or CSR experiences with NGOs after your undergraduate, which is again a great value addition. It showcases your ability to take up initiatives, impact others, and to empathize with other people. B-schools are looking for applicants that are future leaders and such experiences and qualities strengthen your application.
Coming to your courses and certifications, justifying why you took up these courses and showcasing the knowledge you have gained, how you have benefited from them, and applied the learnings practically could help build a strong profile, as the top b schools are on the lookout for those candidates who are constantly on the path of upskilling themselves and taking on challenges.
Since you have mentioned that you will be giving GMAT this December, given your inclination towards Canadian schools, you ought to set a target score of a minimum of 660 to stand at an equal competition with the applicant pool.
Coming to the schools that you are targeting, Rotman, Schulich, and SFU come under the dream category while McGill, McMaster, Calgary, and Concordia come under the competitive category. Looking at your profile you have a 50% chance of getting admitted to the schools in the dream category and a 70% chance of getting admitted to the schools in the competitive category.
On this note, while you have a competitive profile, to increase your chances of getting admitted to these schools you would need to ensure that you have a very strong application (consisting of - Essays, LORs, and Resume) to differentiate your profile. You need to showcase your journey, what makes you different from your peers, and how you are a great value addition to the school. A strong application increases your chances of acceptance by up to 30%.
Furthermore, I would suggest beginning work on your applications as the upcoming deadlines are just around the corner and each application would require at least 10 days to be perfected.
