Scoring 46 - 48 on GMAT Club Quant CATs - score translation?  [#permalink]

Hi all,

I've been scoring between 46 - 48 on GMAT Club quant CATs. Anyone else on the forum scoring roughly the same? Any thoughts on what these scores would potentially translate to on a real GMAT test?

Thanks!

Hi thehealthcareguy,

Scoring in that range on the GMATClub Tests shows that you have a really strong Quant ability - so you could very well score at a really high level on the Official GMAT. Unfortunately, there's no way to 'translate' an isolated sectional score into an Official Score. There are too many aspects to Test Day (including taking the FULL Exam) that are not accounted for when you take a single 'sectional test' for practice. Thankfully, there IS a way to properly assess your skills - take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (with the Essay and IR sections) under realistic conditions.

A GMATPrep would give you the best estimate of your ability before you take the actual GMAT.

From what I understand, GMAT Club quant exams are tougher than the actual, so I'd guess you'd be 48+ on the real. Though as others have said, a GMAT Prep CAT would give the best indicator.

you should take official GMAT prep tests because they are the actual indicator of your ability.
