Hi everyone.
I have over 8 years of work ex,out of which 3 years are with a leading IT firm, and the next 5 years with the largest bank of the country. My doubt is whether I should showcase my achievements during my IT stint or not as presently I am out of touch with anything related to that field

Hello anshkool4u

You may as well get used to the phrase you will hear most often during the MBA- 'It Depends'
Firstly it depends on the exact questions asked- if the essay asks you for your career journey then you should definitely look at highlighting some key achievement while talking about your experiences int he IT firm.
Even if there isn't a direct question, it will depend if you have a strong achievement that you really want to talk about (perhaps a career turning point or something important that you learned)
Thirdly, depends on the overarching message that you want to convey in your essays. Let us say you want to talk about your experience of working in diverse functions/industries or working with global teams and your IT experience helps you add to it.
Honestly these are just some of the examples and there is no limit to the number of cases that can exist where you may want to talk about the experience.
