Cover Letter Please prepare a cover letter (up to 500 words) seeking a place in the MIT Sloan MBA program. Your letter should describe your accomplishments, address any extenuating circumstances that may apply to your application, and conform to standard business correspondence. Resume Please prepare a business resume that includes your employment history in reverse chronological order, with titles, dates, and whether you worked part-time or full-time. Your educational record should also be in reverse chronological order and should indicate dates of attendance and degree(s) earned. Other information appropriate to a business resume is welcomed and encouraged. The resume should not be more than one page in length (up to 50 lines). 3. Essays We are interested in learning more about how you work, think, and act. For each essay, please provide a brief overview of the situation followed by a detailed description of your response. Please limit the experiences you discuss to those which have occurred in the past three years. In each of the essays, please describe in detail what you thought, felt, said, and did. Essay 1: Please describe a time when you had to convince a person or a group of your idea. Having application issues...Error retrieving merchant data for merchant 'mit_sloan_ssm' after I try and "continue to pay" anyone else having this issue???

Ugh! I keep getting a "merchant services" error... "Error retrieving merchant data for merchant 'mit_sloan_ssm'" Any luck on bypassing it anyone? I've tried IE and Chrome...

That's the error I'm getting. Super busy with meetings through the deadline tmrw at work.. want to get this taken care of asap before I fall asleep on my keyboard!

Update...now after passing through verification the error reads "merchant has been cancelled"... come on MIT, did someone forget to pay the bill ?

One more update in case anyone is still trying to pay... just got all the way through (and received an email receipt of payment -- definitely saving that one)! Payment website still seems a little wonky (graphics are error-ing out, etc.) but the security encryption is there and it is processing payment. Yay!

Tried several times and finally got through. Hit submit only once after entering the security words and wait for 10-15 minutes. The payment page should load. Then wait another 5 after submitting the payment. I received the confirmation email before the confirmation screen even loaded. Good luck!

Same here, on my twentieth attempt it went through. Had to wait over ten minutes in the reCaptcha screen and then ten more after submitting payment. Didn't get an email though... Got confirmation from application status Posted from my mobile device

I had the same issues with submitting my application fee as well (running IE9). The "reCaptcha" security feature would not accept my repeated and careful entries (continually received the "Error retrieving merchant data for merchant 'mit_sloan_ssm'" message). I finally switched to Firefox and it accepted my security entry just fine. However, after entering my credit card info, it did take a few minutes before the payment confirmation page finally displayed. Got the confirmation emails and am now good to go. my page crashed after I made the payment. So I paid three times. After my third payment, I finally reached to the electronic signature page and got my appplication submitted.
