They did say that the bulk of the invites would be out by 25 Feb. Guess we still have a week before we can take this nervous nail-biting to the next level :shock:

Any invites come out today? Not sure if the the GSB is closed for the holiday or not. I know it is at Sloan, but someone in the Darden thread got an invite today, so some schools are apparently open and sending stuff out.

If you wouldn't mind, could you share your profile/background?

I would look at interview guides that consist of specific example questions asked in the past, rather than just general themes. Such as this one:

Also try to find people you know who have interviewed and ask them how their experience was...you'll find it is pretty differentiated.

Do you think this is very quiet, or is that just my perception?

Round 1 reported 50+ invites out of 421 applicant. In two days the vast majority of the invitations should be released and we're far away from that ratio.

You are entirely wrong that the vast majority are out in two days. Stanford explicitly says that they send out invites until March 4th, and not to read anything into the order in which they are sent out. I'm obsessing as much as you are, but we have to obsess on facts. And the truth is, who gives a damn if you get the last possible invite? You don't lose hope until the final day when you get a ding, because it's entirely conceivable that you could get an invite between now and March 4th. There are 9 business days between now and then. If the numbers look low to you compared to R1, it's probably because they haven't sent out most of the R2 invites yet.

I did this for another school, but if you want to be really rigorous about it, you could go back to the threads from the previous years and see the proportion of R1 vs R2 invites and get an average. That way you'll build an ACTUAL sense of what is going on. If I have time I'll do it tomorrow, but you could easily do it tonight. Anyway, point is that you need to focus on what you ACTUALLY know rather than what your anxiety is projecting. The final day is March 4th. Stop focusing on the false idea that the invites stop going out in two days.

In the hopes of offering some data to obsess about rather than random speculation, I put together some historical data from prior years on R1 vs R2 interview percentages of GMATClub members. There was an outlier year, and I have data that both includes and excludes that year. I also couldn't gather data from the Class of 2013 because of the way the thread was set up that year, but if someone (mods?) can get me the data I'll update my info here. Hope this is helpful to people.

The important conclusion is that if historical trends hold this year, we can expect between 29 and 39 of GMATClub R2 applicants to get interview invites during this round. That's taking the average and also the data without the outlier year in there. Between those two, an average of 34 invites fits the data. So quite a few more to come out in the next two weeks, that's all.
