I heard from a PHD student in SSE, who heard the talk among professors.

Gosh, that would be horrific. I can not imagine “ A limited amount of outstanding applications are selected after the early deadline ” would translate to over 50%.

Perhaps they meant they’ve already selected over 50% of the applicants that will receive an offer next week?

Yes, it is unbelievable. Meanwhile, he also said that 75% offers in Accounting & Financial Management have already been sent out.
I knew many people have gotten their offer in MFin in the 1st round because I searched many forums and made this conclusion.
Many of them said that they decided to go to France for a master degree because there is a better choice.
So, I am not sure what will happen this year because SSE is still having online courses.

Are you saying that SSE is currently still having online courses or that SSE will be still having online courses in the upcoming study year?

Is 3.4/4 from a T2 Swedish triple crown university a sufficient GPA to get admitted to SSE MBM? (I have many good extracurricular activities, academic references, and a good cover letter)

R2 offers are all posted on March 15- SSE doesn't do rolling admissions, the decisions are announced on the same day :)

It's likely that there may have been some COVID-related deferrals from last year included in that %- pretty much all masters programs internationally are going to have fewer spots and more competition as a result!

It is highly unlikely that any university would fill over 50% of the spots before the main admissions round has even started.

True, I definitely agree it's highly unlikely 50-75% of spots are filled, but it would be plausible that more spots would be occupied than previous years because of more applications/possible COVID-related deferrals. Monday will be here soon enough and we'll see how it goes :)
