I'm really happy to see someone started this topic, I was actually planning to do it today myself :)

I sent my application to CEMS MIB at SSE just two days ago.

Nationality: Polish, but living in Norway 3 years now
Academic background: One of main Norwegian universities; Social sciences, Arctic Tourism to be more more specific (however, a big chunk of my studies is related to business and management); serving as the class president during my entire bachelor
Languages: Fluent English (Toefl 111), native Polish, intermediate Norwegian
GMAT: 700, with AWA 6.0
Work Experience: 2 years working as a manager at an international tourist side, responsible for recruiting and managing team of guides; international guide for another company, working with people from all over the world
Other Experience: Participation in an international business project (developing a plan for foreign market expansion), some local-scale projects (project management, organizing funding etc.)

I know that my academic background is rather unorthodox, but I hope my international experience and decent GMAT score can stack the odds in my favor.

it looks pretty good actually! How old are you? seeing everyone having so much work experience worries me tbh, I only have a summer internship in a fund and I set up an internal reporting system for my family business.

Hey, forgot to mention, I'm 24 years old. :)

I don't think you should worry too much about your work experience; Masters in Management are considered rather entry-level, which makes them a great way to start our careers. Your profile looks very solid, especially with the multinational experience and good academic background.

If I get a decent GMAT score I may have a chance, the competition is though but it's great to see how international and competitive the class could be. Let's hope to be there next year, maybe in class and with no mask on I wish :please:

Hi! I'm applying for MSc Finance in Stockholm School of Economics. Here's my overall profile:

Age: 22 (I'll be 23 by February)
Nationality: Filipino
Undergraduate: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Top 8 among the BSA graduates in my batch. Academic excellence awardee.
GPA: 1.42/1.0 with magna cum laude honors (approximately 93 to 96%). I was also a consistent President's Lister (this is a higher level compared to Dean's List in my University which is awarded to students whose GPA on a certain semester is within 1.5).
IELTS: L: 9.0 R: 8.0 W: 7.0 S: 7.0 Overall: 8.0
GMAT: I'm about to take the exam in November and I'm targeting a score between 650 and 700
Experience: 2 years working experience in EY Philippines under the Financial Services Organization (FSO) Consulting and recently promoted to Senior Associate. I have extensive experience on stress testing and risk management. I also do financial audit relating to sophisticated Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models. And most of my clients are within the top 5 banks in the Philippines, and foreign-bank branches. I'm also part of the sustainability team within our cluster.
Licenses and certification: Certified Public Accountant (awarded in the Philippines). Earned the 17th highest score in the national CPA exam. CFA Level 1 candidate (I was supposed to take the exam last June but the 2020 exams are canceled here in the Philippines).
Extra curriculars: During my undergraduate studies, I was part of a group of students that represents our school in various accounting quiz bee, and audit and tax case studies. The competitions are national and regional level and I won many awards.

I still haven't heard anything from them. At this point I don't think that I have been selected in the 1st round, but shouldn't they at least send me a mail?

Congrats! I received the email and they are putting my application on hold until the second deadline. At this point I don’t think I’m gonna make it, the competition must have been pretty tough.

As you know, we only admit a limited amount of applicants in the early round. Your application has not yet been selected for admissions at this point in time, but it is qualified, and we will assess your application again during the regular round in January 2021. Please expect a final decision from us on March 15, 2021.

It is Qualified, Is it a Good Sign?
