Re: Tepper Profile Evaluation - Tools for B-School Profile Evaluation [#permalink]
Hi please evaluate my profile for Tepper MBA (2022-2024)

I have a GMAT Score of 720 (Q49 V39 IR4)

I have done my graduation ( B.E - Electronics and Communication Engineering ) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, India with a CGPA of 9.04/10 (90.4%) . Also I have been a 2 time merit scholarship holder (2 consecutive years ) in my college .

My 10th class CGPA has been 10 CGPA (95 %) and 12th class percentage has been 91.8%

I have worked for 2 clubs in my college -:

1) Cultural club in which I was a part of the event organizing team and played a role of a cultural head i.e talking to the managers of renowned musicians and sufi artists , planning out the cultural events etc.

2) Science & Maths Club - Here I was a part of their management team wherein I helped them organize several fun maths & science challenges.

I have worked for 2 NGO’s as well -:

One was a Wildlife conservation NGO wherein I was a part of the team which rescued animals on road which were hurt ( due to accidents with cars etc.)

Second was an NGO wherein I taught underprivileged kids and helped them gather resources such as school books , school bags etc.

I have been in ZS for the past 10 months.
In ZS, I have been working closely with a US pharma client and i handle their sales incentive compensation and goal setting . I analyze extensive retail and outlet level sales data to create useful insights and also do call planning for field reps to optimize customer reach . I have also provided ad hoc analytical support for clients to help cater to varying demands from field representatives.
Working at ZS has led me learning about a lot of new dimensions of how the industry works , also analyzing the real sales data helps understanding the different areas where things can be improved to get better profits for the company .

This all has led me to derive insights and look in those directions which are generally ignored by us.

Hello Rockstar20,

We responded to your profile on the Rotman thread a short-while ago; therefore, our comments on your profile remain the same; at Tepper, about 2% of the class comes with under 1-year of work experience (and the average is upwards of 5 years); hence, while you will be an outlier to some extent, you will also have close to two years of experience by the time you join the program; therefore, eligibility is definitely not an issue and chances will be fairly decent. :-)

Thanks.

All the best!

Hey,

I am a 39-year old relationship manager with corporate banking division of India’s leading private sector bank. I did my undergraduate studies from IIT Delhi (B.Tech.-Mechanical) (2001-5) and graduate studies from IIM Indore (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) (2006-8). My GMAT score is 700 (Q50/V34) as taken on Oct 18, 2020 (Online). I have rich banking experience, working in diverse banking verticals, including derivatives pricing, M&A advisory (IB), and corporate banking. Things were going pretty good when in 2013 I was diagnosed with leukemia, which resulted in my long drawn battle with the ailment. By God's grace, I recovered fully, as I resumed with corporate banking at the bank's New Delhi office, and have been going strong since. I also founded a nonprofit to help leukemia patients to help with shortfalls in treatment financing and with counseling.

I applied to Tepper in R2 for 2021 admit, but was not invited for the interview. What should I do to improve my chances of making it to Tepper MBA?
