1) A, Since the relationship between L & S determines the size of the circle
2) A,Greatest effect would be on A
3) Negative,If the relationship is inversed then with every increase of F , L will decrease,since size will decrease
4) Negative,If the relationship is inversed then with every increase of L , S will decrease,since size will decrease
5) Positive, since when L will increase S will decrease & F will decrease ,so there is a positive correlation between S&F

This question makes absolutely no sense to me... It is not enough to say "If the relationship between L and S were inversed, ...". We don't have enough information to claim any of those items, because we dont know what will be preserved after this change, and how is this change made.
For instance, initially we could have something like L = 0.5(S+F). After the "inversion", what is expected? L = k (1/S)+F ? I don't know. If that were the case, what would be the constrain in order to k be determined (so that it would be possible to say for instance what is the greatest effect on the graph)?
Also, how this "inversion" happen? L = k*1/(S+F) also makes L inversaly proportional to S, but takes F with it.

When the relationship between L and S reversed the size of the bubble will also be reversed and the largest bubble will become the smallest and the smallest will become the largest. So the size of A will become the largest.

PS: The OA, in my point of view, is misleading, when the relationship between the L and S reversed then the greatest effect would be on both A and D, A will become equals D and D will become equal to A.




In terms of increase,

the greatest effect will be on Circle A (smallest) turning into the (largest), consequent to 'the relationship between L and S getting reversed' due to LOW base effect associated with Circle A. (vis-a-vis that of Circle D -- with a HIGH base effect)


IMO, the OA is Circle A for Question No 2­

The graph represents the results of a survey taken by focus groups each shown a different version of an upcoming commercial for a sports car.
Each version had a different amount of content showing the car in fast-driving scenes.
After the group viewed the commercial, each member was asked two questions: "Did you feel that the car was sporty?" and "How likely are you to purchase this car?"
The position of the circles on the left indicate how much fast-driving content (F) was in the version of the commercial show and the % of viewers who found the car to be 'sporty' (S). The relative size of the circles indicates how likely the members of the group were to purchase the car (L). The bigger the circle, the more likely they were to purchase.

Use the drop-down menus to fill in the blanks in each of the following statements based on the information given by the graph.

Sajjad1994 ­I am a bit confused about choosing between A and D in the second question. If we think A becomes the largest, then D is also becoming the smallest one, right? After all, we are not given any condition in the question of whether the change in the graph will increase or decrease the size of which circle.

­the greatest effect on the graph would be to the smallest one. this is a typical case of percent change
take eg: A=20 D=80 changes to A=80 (300% increase/change) and D=20 (75% decrease/change)
