Got one around same time. Was checking email on my phone during a meeting with Client SVP, sitting right next to him. But whatever. :P

guys, doing a bit of analysis on the information on beatthegmat website, i would say that over half the invitations for this round were sent out :(
if i dont get invited to booth then there is something wrong with my profile, i felt my booth app was the strongest. I was really confident I would get admitted to booth...

I wouldn't be surprised if half or more have gone out - but that means that nearly half of us are still waiting. Feb 15 is two weeks away folks.

Can't help noticing how each subsequent wave of invites is looking smaller in the number of people invited. Hopefully, the Adcom is preparing for a big one.

Guys, on the admissions blog, they posted that the admissions review are random, and a lot of people haven't even been reviewed yet.

I know it's easier said than done, but try to keep hopeful until closer to the 15th.

I got my invite Friday and I'm already interviewing this evening. This can only mean they are trying to get people interviewed quickly after each wave in order to free up the alums for the next waves of invite.

You are right. Admission process of lot of schools, including Booth, is random and your interview invite timing (if it is coming anyways) is more of a function of who reads the application at what time, not to forget that there are multiple reviews of every application. Here is more about Booth's admissions process - https://bizschoolprep.blogspot.com/2011/ ... ffice.html Hope it helps with some anxiety.

I hope everyone realizes that BTG and GC are a VERY small sample size of Booth's R2 applicant pool. You can't extrapolate how many invites have gone out based on how many people have posted that they've gotten invites (hell, you can't even be sure that all the claims on any of these sites are legit). If interviews are coming over a 3 week period and we're only one week in, it would be more logical to assume that they're not even half done sending invites. Heck, the majority of invites could come in the last week.

As was said before, it is TOO soon to start the speculation that the invites are drying up. Can we at least get to Feb. 10 before that type of talk starts. I know that waiting is painful and everyone is anxious, but the negative paranoia doesn't help anyone. So please just chill.

Guys, I was hoping to see the invite coming in tonight (I am in Asia). Still believe my application to Booth was the strongest among all.

Got an interview invite yesterday. Wish the same to all of you.

And I've got a question here. Has anyone been interviewed online?
I chose my location in their online system and got such an email in response:

"At this time, our interview system is unable to match you with an off-campus interviewer in your desired location. However, our staff will work with you to personally match you with an appropriate interviewer. Please contact Anna Veszilits to arrange your interview."

Should I request an online interview? Or may it turn into disadvantage for my application?
Maybe I'd better find alumni in the region and arrange a trip for the interview?

Any ideas? Similar cases?

Well may be its just me, but I always found a f2f interview more effective in terms of expressing myself better. With online interviews over skype , a bad network often ruins my punchline when I'm telling a story or the frame freezes when I'm giving my best facial response. I could be exaggerating, but these little things could tilt a decision in your favor.
All the best with your interview.

Just had my interview. I believe it was really good, and my interviewer gave some good signs ("call me when you get the results so we can have a beer and celebrate") at the end of the interview.

The interview was more of a discussion, with little structure. He did ask for an example of a leadership situation, a situation where I had to deal with a complete change of plans and how I work in teams. He also asked why MBA/Booth, which schools I was applying to and my rationale behind the selection. And that was pretty much it, with me asking him a few questions in the end.

Good luck to you all!
