I was waived because I was deployed to Afghanistan. Never received a Skype interview. I'm still hopeful that I'll receive an offer next week. Suppose I'm trusting them when they say they will only conduct a Skype interview if they feel it's necessary to make a decision. In other words, Skype not needed because I'm awesome. Keep your chin up. It ain't over till it's over!

there is a link on the website which says Admitted students .
It also says that they send out decisions for some students earlier than the deadline.
Would anyone have information regarding this.

I'm sure you're awesome, but I've never seen anybody be admitted without being interviewed.

Best of luck to you. And let us know if you become the first one to achieve that!

Best,

FROM Kellogg MBA Blog: Kellogg Students and JVs Wrap up Fall Quarter with MOVE TG Dance Showcase

Students put on a belly dancing performance at MOVE TG Dance Showcase

“I just can’t believe that this is my life. In my fantasy we’re running wild…” — “Wild” by Jessie J

This song keeps playing again and again in my head, although MOVE TG Dance Showcase ended Friday. MOVE is Kellogg’s dance club, which consists of students and joint ventures (JVs) who enjoy dancing. There are several free introductory dance workshops offered by Kellogg students including Salsa, Swing, Belly-Dancing, Cha-Cha, African, Bhangra and Zumba. However, the biggest event that everyone looks forward to is Annual MOVE TG Dance Showcase, which is held on the last Friday of Fall Quarter each year.

In order to participate in this performance, you need to…volunteer. Period. Yes, you don’t need to have dancing background at all. There’s no audition or interview. Just your interest and commitment to rehearse for no more than 5 hours are enough. Personally, I normally enjoy performing, although I don’t often go clubbing. I have never taken a dancing class before, so Hip-Hop dance is a totally new experience for me.

A pair of swing dancers take their turn performing

After practicing from scratch since the beginning of November, MOVE TG was a success, thanks to choreographers and performers! Salsa, Swing, Bhangra, Samba, Belly Dancing and Hip-Hop dance crews did a great job not only impressing audience but also enjoying themselves.

What I get from this event is not only Hip-Hop choreography but also friends. I now have five new friends with similar interests. Above all, it’s one of the great opportunities to step out of your comfort zone. As a 1Y, I won’t have another year to perform. However, I am really glad that I did it. This experience is totally worth the time and energy.

Thanks so much MOVE execs, all choreographers and performers. Hopefully there will be more and more participants in the upcoming events, and MOVE TG will be one of the most famous Kellogg traditions. Dance Bravely!

Thiraya Thiranakana ’14 is from Bangkok, Thailand. Before Kellogg, she worked for an energy company in Thailand. She’s interested in traveling, eating, cooking and dancing.

I think its officially time to pop out your desk calendars and start crossing out the days!!

I worry that I will hardly be able to get any work done in the office now. But well, things like these only happen once (or twice) in a lifetime. So "enjoy" the anxious wait. Good luck to everyone! This is my second time on this roller coaster waiting game (wait-listed last year) and I do hope that Kellogg rings my number this time!

Does Kellogg adcom/ alumni ring every single admit? If so, I would be killing myself all day waiting for the phone to ring.
I think I read someone saying that they start giving calls earlier than decision day, so from Monday onwards is my guess. If so, those few days will be a nerve rackin!

OK I just called up Kellogg. Decisions will be rendered by email on the 18th. Per adcom, when the day rolls over at some point between 12am and 1am you will get an email indicating your change in status on the website. That should put to rest any sort of phone calls before decisions being rendered by email.
Interviewers are asked to call to congratulate you if you have gotten in, they won't be the one calling to tell you the good news

So 18th it is.....

Wow! This is a pretty new system. But I think this is indeed fair so that people aren't panicking to wait for a call. However, it does take away the "thrill" of the surprise call.

Either way, thanks for sharing! Much appreciated.

Thanks for doing this.

Last year, most of the ding and waitlist candidates got their decisions around 12.45 am (CST) or shortly thereafter on the decision day. But none of the accepted candidates got the email. Adcom called all those candidates on the day.

Looks like this time all the decisions will be released online (maybe 12.45 am?) - sounds like a fairer process.

Yeap more fairer.... I specifically asked the person if accepts get a call from adcom before decisions have been posted online and he said No this year everyone will have to log in and see their notifications .... It would be great if someone could call up and corroborate this story as well

Thanks!
