I disagree, there is nothing wrong with saying something along the lines of "Thank you for the update on my package. I look forward to seeing you all at Mendoza in August." Don't write some long email about your love of Notre Dame, but a quick short note thanking them for the update and showing you interest is perfectly acceptable.

Hi Fergsonfire,

I agree with you. May be I came out strong in my earlier reply. The idea is not to reiterate the love for Mendoza. Just a thank you note, I think, is a good idea.

Thanks,
Prodizy

Yup the same situation here - just got this email mentioning that application is complete and that the decision should be made by Feb 28th - not sure if this decision is regarding the interview invite or a final admit

I guess we'll have to just wait and watch :)

What status does your applyyourself portal have? I got the same mail and the portal showed my application status as completed. After a day, the status in the portal changed to "Under Review". My guess is that, if I were to get an interview invite, I will get it sooner rather than later.

Thanks,

right now it says application complete.
some guys have directly got interview invites. poetsandquants says that they interview everyone. so i think if we do not get an invite soon then it will be a ding.
cannot figure out though. had put some decent efforts into this app and the GMAT/WE is also not bad.

Wow, I didn't know Mendoza interviews all applicants(stats on the first page of this thread also confirms this). However, with the new admission director at helm, things might change though.

Anyway, our waiting game continues :)

I guess with the change in the Admissions Director, things have definitely been a haywire someway or the other. However yes, given that interviews are on since Jan 20th, even I am a bit apprehensive

Lets hope for the best - that's all I can say :)

Thanks

Here's the email I got when I asked the school about the interview. Hope it helps:

In an effort to be fair and equitable to our applicant pool, we offer all applicants the opportunity to interview on campus in Notre Dame, IN. Applicant-initiated, on campus interviews are scheduled online and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We understand that not everyone can make it to campus, so we also offer select opportunities for applicant-initiated interviews in off campus locations. Please check our Recruiting Events web page for periodic updates on dates and locations. Requests for interviews in off campus locations can also be submitted online and will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Alumni interviews and Skype interviews are conducted by invitation only. If the Admissions Committee invites you to interview, you will receive the invitation and scheduling information via e-mail.

At this time, the Admissions Committee has not requested an interview for your application file. This may change as the Committee reviews files right up until the decision release deadline. However, we will not interview all applicants. Time and resource constraints prevent us from offering interviews to all applicants and so the Committee selects those files for which additional information is needed before making an admissions decision. An Admissions Committee-initiated interview provides the Committee with more information about you. Whether a request is received or not is not an indication of the outcome of your application.

I hope this clarifies where your application is at and our interviewing for this round. Thank you, again, for your application and your patience as we work through all the applications received during this round.

Hey Anuj,

No need to be apprehensive. You only said they processed your application on Friday. So it doesn't matter whether the interviews are on from Jan 20th. They just got to your application. I hope we will all hear from them soon.

Received the confirmation email informing time and date for the interview. I will have the interview next week via skype.

Has anyone had any information on the interview of the school, for example, is it a blind interview? are there any posts sharing the interview experience?

Thanks,
