First, I would like to give some basic details about the LBS MiF program! So there is no specific cut-off mentioned by LBS for GMAT, GRE, IELTS, or PTE, so it's an open competition! Moreover, LBS MiF is ranked number one globally by the Financial Times, so you can gauge the type of fierce competition you will face. However, as you have mentioned that you have passed CFA Level 2 in 2021, this will definitely give you an additional advantage over other candidates. Also, if you can score 320 or more, you definitely are closing on booking a spot in the MiF program.
Now coming to work experience, it’s good. Also, you have got a 40% hike in your salary, that’s great, and yes, promotions are important but not as important as the skill-set you develop in your tenure! (Obviously, you can try to get a promotion). Now, I would like you to elaborate more on your roles and responsibilities and try to share your experience both as a work cum study and a permanent employee. Mention the differences in roles, responsibilities, work pressure, and working environment
In your ECAs, you have mentioned CFA and python courses. I would like you to elaborate on these and highlight the relevant skills acquired. Also, elaborate on your volunteering experience, how you overcame the challenges, what was significant about your role, and what relevant skill-set did you develop? Try to mold your ECAs in a way that it showcases your selfless nature, your leadership abilities, your communications skills, and your sense of social well-being.
All in all, I would say you have ECAs, you have passed CFA level 2, you have a quality experience, and a score of 320+ is definitely above average. However, I would also like to highlight that your overall profile is very brief. Moreover, LBS is a top b school in Europe and the world. Since you belong to an overrepresented pool, you would face fierce competition, and a heck of a lot of your selection is directly proportional to your essays and interview.
I would not recommend you to aim for lower schools as I see potential in your profile (yes, you can definitely have some safe schools), but you must work on making your essays elegant unique and try to mold them into a story to catch the attention of the adcom. Also, elaborate on your ECAs, highlight the relevant skills you learned that would help you during your program, and post it! Background: Indian, Female
Undergraduate Degree: BE in Computer Engineering
GPA - 3.3
GMAT: 710- Q49, V39, IR5
Work experience till date: 2 jobs over 3 years 9 months
Job 1: 3 years 4 months as a Business Analyst + Senior Business Analyst.
I was closely involved with identifying data trends, anomalies and potential areas of improvement for BAU.
Job 2: 5 months as Product Analyst at a Unicorn company.
Involves monitoring product performance and working on how to continually upgrade the product for better customer experience.
Extra Curriculars:
Participated in and won a few Debate Competitions in college.
Member of College Annual Fest Organising Committee.
As Vice President of Environment Club in school, I played a pivotal role in planning, organising and executing Annual fests year after year.
I paint from time to time as a hobby and have been involved in Volunteering work as well.
Post MBA Goals:
Having gained extensive exposure to data and analytical tools, I want to be in a position to use these tools to drive business decisions. Product Management is what I intend to get into after my MBA.
I am planning for Fall 2023 intake.
