Hyderabad: Edu-Kinect test center review

Question

Hi

A new test center for Gmat has come up in Hyderabad: Edu-Kinect in Madhapur.
Has anyone taken a test at this center?
In case someone has please do share your review/experience of the place.
I'm looking to take the exam at this center but a little skeptical as it's a fairly new center.

No. I heard mixed reviews about the center. It seems that traffic sound is audible inside the building.

Not sure though.

I've taken my Gmat a couple of months ago-29 Sep to be precise.

The centre is decent. It has everything you expect of a test centre. However
1- I found it very difficult to locate the centre. It's at the end of the road and Google maps left me about 100mts away. Try to reach the centre 30 mins before so you don't panic when unable to locate the centre.
2- If you're travelling by car, you may find it difficult to find some parking space. I recommend take a cab or two wheeler.

And sumanainampudi - Traffic and Hyderabad are inseparable. However, I didn't listen to any traffic 'noise' inside the cabin. It's decently insulated. And GMAT won't let you too.

I gave exam yesterday. It was my second attempt. This centre is not upto mark.

1. I could hear outside traffic. 
2. There were no noise cancellation headsets.
3. You dont have to raise hand as mentioned in GMAT instructions. You can go out of the room in case of break needed. 
4. While giving exam, system i was assigned got closed twice. A guy sitting next to me put his foot on incredible wiring. Person at the centre told me that I didnt lose time because of this. However I can not confirm on this. But this did break my tempo. May be I would have scored better.

I will go for another attempt may be different centre in Hyderabad or in different city.

That's really unfortunate, and I really don't like this "did not lose time" statement. Clearly your "flow" was interrupted. About the noise cancellation headsets: all centers in India provide only ear plugs.

Do not go by searching EDU-Kinect on google map. Follow the address provided on gmat website. As of today if you search EDU-Kinect on google it will give you the direction of a closed Edu-kinect office.

- Traffic was not a problem at this center bcz it's really not on main road, but there was construction work going on in the adjacent building and the marble cutting machine noise was bothering me even with ear plugs on (provided by center).
 - Six examinee in one small wooden cabin. They have AC in that room, but the room have big glass window pane which allows sunlight and in the 2p.m slot enough afternoon sun was coming to make me sweat with even AC on. They should really consider putting drapes on those windows, to make cooling effective and cancel any visual distraction from outside.
- Uncomfortable chairs, in last one hour back started paining. in my chair one arm rest was missing. No support provided to back by chair, you have to bend backwards to give your back support on chair.
- The locker for putting your stuff is just outside the room, the room door literally opens into the locker iron almirah, noise from person unlocking the iron locker outside can bother you.

Really really not a up to the mark center for a world class exam. Definitely needs improvement. Not sure GMAC have any guidelines for what qualifies as a center.

Some suggested improvements - 
- Should invest on chairs, throw the ones given to examinees.
- Put drapes on window.
- Move that locker to a more less disturbing place.
- Correct your location on google map.

I don't recommend this center as the seating arrangement was not good. The chair that was given to me was quite uncomfortable and was a very low seated one. It didn't have any buttons for any adjustment. No headset was given(instead earplugs were given which were of no use). There was no paper given to me, instead, a sketch with few plastic papers was given. The A/C was bad and there was no noise cancellation in the room. Aren't these enough to screw up your exam??
