Well, I gave my GMAT today at LNCT Bhopal. The center is at LNCT College , Raisen Road. It would be almost 30-45 minute drive from Station. The road is being widened 2-3 km before the college, so plan your travel considering the traffic. My advice would be book for early morning slot, as at that time the college bus traffic does not start. The center is at the LNCT E Building First Floor. The contact person is Mr Mukesh Narula. I have his mobile number but not sharing here. However, you can call in the front desk and ask for his number. Before booking test center, I went to see the center and he was nice enough to answer to my questions.

They 6 workstations with workable desk space. There is one locker room, one toilet and one hall with a large table and chairs (where you can have your lunch/ snacks if you want to). The chairs are comfortable. The room is equipped with window AC and ceiling fan. You need to carry your own water bottle as the drinking water is outside the center and by obvious reason you cant exit the center during the test.

The pens were getting dry very soon if kept open and not used for even half a minute. That's one problem IMO.

The coordinator was nice enough to reduce the screen brightness, as with spectacle my eyes become sore with high brightness. There is one common buzzer in the room. You need to press that to call the coordinator.

They scanned my both palms for 5 times each. I don't know whether this is a standard practice or there was some problem with the palm reader.

How much did I score. Not what I expected. Better luck next time as I believe whatever does not kill you makes you stronger.

raks85 Was there noise or any kind of disturbance? Keyboard noise etc?
Also, was it spacious than a cyber cafe?
It would really be helpful, if you can share the same.

Thanks,

I took my exam at 10:00 AM slot. Only two people other than me were there. So, there were not much keyboard noises. (I was wearing the earplugs, so obviously I did not hear light noises). The center is in the new building, near to various labs and away from classrooms. Also, it is separated from the main corridor with two doors, one to enter the center and one to enter the test area. So, it is isolated from external noises.

The exam center, i.e. where the PCs are there, is not very big. So, when the attendant come to attend other exam takes you may find it irritating, if you are sitting very near to the door. The space before the PCs are manageable. But I would have liked a bigger space.

So, if you are opting this center, my advice would be select the 09:00 AM slot, where you may ask for a PC kept further away from the door.

These factors did not affect my score. The problem was that I mismanaged time during Quant. The drying out of the pens added to the anxiety. During Verbal, I hurried and made mistakes.

I hope the above helps. Please give kudos if you like the post. Also all the best for your next attempt.

Hi ,

Can anybody please share a more recent experience at the BHOPAL LNCT GMAT center ? And how is it compared to official Pearson's centers (if you have given there) ? Any challenges you faced in terms of the environment ?

Thanks. Appreciate it.

Hi,

I was alone in the test centre when I took the test. The staff was very polite and accommodating.

Its on the first floor of building E in room 117. Take a water bottle with you. There are 5 computers close to each other and the AC makes a bit of noise. If you end up being alone on the test day you'll be alright as the seating is a bit tight.

So overall - the staff is great, computers work fine. Seating is a bit tight and AC is noisy.

My score is alright. Close to 90th percentile, however my goal is 99th percentile. I'll take the test again in a couple months.

Thanks,
Aditya

Hi Guys,

I gave my test on 30 June in the LNCT center. I traveled from a different city a day in advance and stayed in a hotel. As pointed out in other posts, I contacted the reception (through the phone no. available in their Google search results) and got the contact details of Mr. Mukesh Narula who's the organizer. I actually reached the test center a little early (9:40, my test was at 10:30) as the center is 30 minutes away from the man city. Ola cabs are working fine but just keep in mind that it might take you a bit long if there's traffic. You have to ask for the LNCTE building inside the campus. On the first floor entrance of the building, you'll see a GMAT board at the reception. But as the college is closed, you'll either find the whole campus empty or just the cleaning staff. I was waiting for some kind of intimation from the one in charge but nobody was to be seen until 10:20 and TBH it was difficult sitting in the hot and humid lobby. Also note that the GMAT room is to the right of the reception, but there were signs in the corridor which pointed left and I spent a good chunk of my energy and time trying to figure out the room 117 where the test takes place. I paced up and down everywhere and by chance stumbled upon the room. By the time the supervisor had come, I was completely drenched in sweat and a bit annoyed as I had to basically call them up to come for my exam (Didnt look like they were expecting any candidates that day). But once the staff came it was quick and he was helpful. They'll give you a locker to keep your stuff and depending on who the person is (there are 2-3 people who take alternate turns in supervising the exam on different days), they'll either ask you to keep your bag along with your phone and any reading material, either inside the locker and lock it (while you can keep water, snacks, meds etc. outside) or with them until the duration if the exam. Palm reader worked after 5 tries. The room has 5 computers side by side (https://lnct.ac.in/gmat-test-center/ - to check the layout of the room) but due to covid, they're only allowing two candidates per slot (Only one slot per day available- 10:30) so you can ask for the one farther away from the AC as its a bit noisy. Otherwise the systems are fine, and the room quiet. If you're alone in the room, you can choose to take off your mask if you're uncomfortable in that. The monitor's brightness is a little high so make sure you ask the invigilator to decrease it during login. It wont be apparent in the blue login screen, but once the white question screen appears, it'll strain your eyes. There's a washroom in the same area, and the staff is cordial and attentive to respond to your buzzer. Overall, except the initial confusion and glitches, it was a decent experience. Try to reach around 10:00-10:15 so that you are not sitting waiting for the invigilators to arrive.

Umm I dont know how to answer accurately :), but it's the same as you would expect if you give it in any other test center or the official GMAT mocks.

Hi Guys,

I am planning to take the Gmat test in coming 2-3 months, so I would like to know more about the LNCT center. I am really confused right now so if anyone of you can take me through the procedure to how to select LNCT as your test center would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Please avoid taking test at Bhopal Test center. I had a horrible experience.
The test center room is located just next to the college playground and noise never stops :?

Extremely disappointing for a 275$ test.
