Post MBA goals:
My post-MBA short-term professional goal is to return to Classic Papers, my family business, and help carry out critical changes in manufacturing operations, sales channels, and digital transformation that the business needs in today’s environment. The business today faces ever increasing competition- in particular, competition from smaller players has compelled us to launch a new economy line of products, and my effort will be to spearhead its sales and distribution across India.
In the long-term, I want to help my family business break the mold of a local and regional player, and expand internationally, entering new segments.
Awards:
• Asian Football Confederation B-License Holder (awaiting final certificate)- 1/170 coaches in India to hold one
• Asian Football Confederation C-License Holder (C-17/1916) (Sept 2017)- 1/285 coaches in India to hold one
• All India Football Federation D-License Holder (D/2015/HFA/77) (April 2015)
• ‘Marketing Mind’ Award (275 employees) for studying market to find alternative marketable products
• ‘Best Project Award’ (2016) (2/25 teams) for improving thermal and mechanical efficiencies of Paper mill
The switch in my career line was due to personal setbacks and the COVID crisis. Having re-aligned my career goals and ambitions, football remains my ultimate hobby, and I see myself contributing to the game in my own meaningful manner in the future.
Unsure whether IMD is the school for me, or vice-versa.

Nikhil
