I have 9 years of Software industry experience and currently in a excellent role with a top MNC, I am planning for a change in my career and looking for a 1 year MBA in India.

From the forums i see ISB is a good option, any thoughts if there are any good choices and is ISB worth the time and money ? I am confused on this , any suggestions will help me plan a better preparation.

ISB is one of the options, but it depends on post-MBA goals. But ISB students average experience is declining in recent years. Apart from ISB, check the IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C one year diploma programmes which require a minimum of 5 years experience.

With 9 years of Work Ex, a 1 year program from IIM's (A,B,C) would be more suitable for your profile.

Will try to answer your questions-

1. Colleges in India: https://gmatclub.com/forum/indian-mba-p ... 43410.html

2. Is ISB worth it? https://www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/201 ... -analysis/ by MBACrystalBall

Find out more on ISB and IIM forums. Also, would encourage you to get in touch with a consultant to discuss your fit and interest.

If planning abroad, thses might help

2. https://gmatclub.com/forum/over-represen ... 56555.html
Cheers.

Hi lakshmisp

- A career switch with 9+ years of experience may not be easy to accomplish, at ISB or at any other B-school. If you are looking for career growth, the MBA can help.
- In case you make it to ISB, it will certainly be worth the time and money. This article will shed more light.
- There are also choices apart from ISB you could look at. IIMA/B/C, XLRI are some examples.

We would advise you to look for a 1 Year exec program at IIMs or an MBA in the US/Europe for a better return and for a more apportioned career opportunities (w.r.t your work experience).
